Hey Tinny if you are still out there this is for you.

On the 3rd I finally got my cheek position down.

Mike

mikiec,
i am proud of you, as an ex marine to an ex marine our training payed off,
even at our advanced age. once a marine always a marine.

fordracing65 02-04-2012 06:54 PM

Nice shot, Marines, Thanks.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-05-2012 06:38 AM

MikieC is Air Force. If he was a Marine he'd be respectable AND funny instead of just good lookin....like Ralphie.
Nice Try.
AZ Bob

Hmm. Bob, I always thought you had better taste than that. Ralphie and Mikie good looking? Oh well. I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

dave from mesa 02-05-2012 07:27 AM

Nice shooting Mikie.
What size black dots?

csx4910 02-05-2012 08:05 AM

Those are about 6-8 inches. I use the same ones when I go shooting. Nice Shooting Mickie - Tin Man if you are still out there lurking, I believe Mickie won the bet:)

dave from mesa 02-05-2012 12:17 PM

Thought the deal was for 2" at 50 yards.
Keep working Mikie.
Still good shooting.

mikiec 02-05-2012 12:42 PM

They are 6 inch. Still need to get my breathing and cheek position exact and repeatable. Yes the deal, probably off, was 2 inch. I'll get there.
The best group was just over 2.5 inches.

That was my first attempt at 50 yds. Just need more practice.

Now here's a convenient idea for anti car hijacking...

Sandy,

I have seen those before. Are they good? What about rattles, etc.?

Mike

mikiec 02-13-2012 06:57 PM

I have named Ginny 'Annie Oakley.' No pics but she really did well with her Henry 22 rifle.

That one isn't mine but I have a buddy who is serious about getting one. I'll give you a report if he does.

Danr55 02-14-2012 04:10 AM

jperickson2001 02-19-2012 07:43 AM

308 right? M1A? Nice shooting. Surprised they allow that gun in Kalifornia.

Danr55 02-19-2012 02:56 PM

SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! They don't allow a gun like that in Kalifornia.. THat is nice shooting.

jperickson2001 02-19-2012 07:00 PM

Yes, it's a CA legal rifle. M1A's are not on the stupid ban roster. The grip on this stock keeps the thumb high enough to be legal. I owned the 20 round magazines before 2000 so I can have them. God I hate this place. When I leave here I'm buying a full auto Thompson submachine gun just because I can.

dave from mesa 02-19-2012 07:08 PM

Whoa! $20-30,000. Must be nice.
That's one reason why I didn't buy a full auto gun.
