Since when are Arizona colors not Maroon and Gold. Those colors have been seen at the Rose Bowl on New Years Day. Never saw red representing Arizona at the Rose Bowl!!!! See you on Saturday John.

John-Tucson 03-21-2012 10:31 PM

Hey, Hey, Hey, The University of Arizona has been to bowl games in El Paso and San Diego. So there !

mikiec 03-22-2012 04:55 AM

There is a University in Tucson?

John-Tucson 03-22-2012 07:37 PM

I did a dry run for you guys today. From the Chevron gas station ( mile post 162) to Orange Grove ( mile post 250) is 88 miles. It took me 1:17 driving at 70 mph, if you drive at 75 to 80 mph then you'll do it in !:12. From I-10 to Mr. Hall's home is about 15 minutes.

Danr55 03-22-2012 08:49 PM

So if we leave the Chevron Station Saturday morning about 9:30 we will be at Mr. Hall's house about 11:00 if Mr. Brobob's GPS is working right? How long will it take if we let Karl lead?

mikiec 03-23-2012 05:58 AM

It will take about a week if Karl leads. He has a habit of not finishing his drives.

csx4910 03-23-2012 06:23 AM

HI guys, been swamped at work for a while and havent been able to get out. Did Karl finish his car yet? I'll be up in Prescott scouting out a company I am looking to buy this weekend but I know everyone will have a grea time.

Non cobra related, my little squirt of a british sports car I bought is arriving today from across the pond in England. 1969 Triumph GT6. I had one at 15(my first car) and was feeling nostalgic. Hard to beelive a car smaller than the cobra and weighing 500 pounds less. Only downsoide is that is also had 500 less horsepower:)

Everyone have fun and I hope to catch up on the next run soon to get back in the groove.

Ron,
My first car was a 1967 TR3 Triumph Spitfire. A little 4 banger with duel Webers. I was 16, and it was too much fun, when it was running. I nick named it Sh-t fire because it broke every other week. Therefore, I rode the bus a lot:CRY: I'd like to see yours.

Stephen Crosten 03-23-2012 12:38 PM

Another newcomer from Cave Creek. Judy and I look forward to meeting everyone, first at Wild Horse Pass, then on to Tucson. We will be bringing some desert items to add to the mix.

Wow. More new folks. Mikie, we should drink free for about a month!

Welcome Stephen. We all look forward to meeting you and Judy tomorrow. Don't pay any attention to anything that anyone says. It's all in humor. The only time we are respectful is at the meetings. Then we go by the rules.

See you in the AM.

What rules are you talking about ? Did you and Mikiec make up some rules while the rest of us were away ?

mikiec 03-23-2012 10:07 PM

As the Grand Boobah and president for life.

Yes....................

Hey maybe I should run for POTUS.

There was quite a turnout for the shindig in Tucson today. Several Phoenix Cobras showed up. We headed south with 9 cars from Wild Horse Pass and picked up Ralph along the way. Larry and David put on a great spread. Their parents were extremely nice to open their home to us. John and Aida and all of the Tucson crowd were great. Very hospitable. It was all in all a great day for a Cobra Ride. Thanks to the Halls and everyone who helped out.

dave from mesa 03-24-2012 07:36 PM

What Dan said x2.

LMH 03-24-2012 08:05 PM

We had a great time today, thank you all for coming! I think we all don't get together enough, so we'll be trying to do this as an annual spring event. I would post a couple pics from today but the image link isn't letting me add photo's. But we all know what we look like!

Thank again for coming! It's always great to see everyone.
Larry

mikiec 03-24-2012 09:06 PM
