Bob, Are you sure there isn't a gun show that weekend?
|
There is one on Sunday, April 8th.

Why not choose a locaion closer in? It's a long way out there to sit in the parking lot. Why not a park with grass and such in Scottsdale? Just my $0.02.

Next Event is Picnic
Time to get your Tonto Pass, although you can buy one from the Ranger Station or at the Barlett Lake Marina if you forget. Be wary of speeding on the drive into and out of Barlett Lake. We have had numerous ticket stories on that road.
Here is the meet place for 9:00am departure: Chevron, 5439 E Carefree Hwy, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. South-West of Carefree Hwy and Cave Creek Road, not quite on corner. You can also buy your Tonto Pass there. Here is the route from the Chevron Station: MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map 26 miles at slow speeds, about 45 minutes but great scenery. AZ Bob |
Picked up my Tonto Pass today. Still $6.

Bob,
I'll meet you at the Chevron |
Charlie, Glad to see you are going to make it.
Mike |
Well the picnic was the same gathering as usual. Most of the same people. Looked like a high school dance with the girls on one side and the boys on the other. A few new faces that were nice to see. It was generally a good time. I trust no one got a ticket going home. That's right. Ralph wasn't there.
