Default Route 66

The time is fast approaching. Ginny will send out an email to those that went last year to confirm they will be going or not. We will then open up the available rooms if any. If it looks like we need more rooms she will try her best to get them.

The run is the first weekend of May.

That used to be an interesting Route when I was a kid. My Father was in construction and we traveled it several times back when it was the main route across the country. I still remember stopping in some of the old diners made out of trolleys or railroad cars. Do they still have any of those on what is left of it?

I don't remember seeing any diner cars but there are all sorts of other interesting and historic places to see. It is worth the trip.

I've been on that trip 10 times and I don't remember much of anything. Except it was fun!

Guys and Gals,

It is time to get our room reservations set for the Rte 66 Fun Run.

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Travelodge in Kingman for Fri & Sat May 4-6.
The room rate is $55 per nt + tax.

Currently I have rooms reserved for: Canning, Bakalar, Bosley, Broberg, D Halle, L Halle, Morse, Price, Reinsch, Shinn, Cornelius, McLinden, Classic, Potter, Stubbs, Crosten, Fitzgerald, Fuller, and Sargent. (19 rooms)

We have 6 more rooms available if anyone is interested.

Please send me an email asap to: ginnyc66@cox.net if you want to add your name to the list.

This should be a really big event as the Fun Run is celebrating their 25th Run.
I have to send a final count to the hotel no later than Apr 20th.

Hope to see you there.

Ginny C.

Mike, We should check with Bill and see if his Lil' Bro can get some of the Pantera group to join us. That would be an impressive caravan.

Mikie, I looked at the Route 66 Fun Run site but need more info. Is there an itinerary for the AZ Cobras? Like a meeting point and what time do we start the caravan?
Do you have some information of your past runs listed on the CC site?
