Cruising on central tomorrow

I was going to take a ride, but weather pending now...

Well I took a ride down, got there about 10am. A few cars were there parked. Signs say....POSPONED Till next Saturday 21st. Chilly ride home but nice, summer is coming.

I went to the baseball game (Phoenix teams not doing well) and drove home up Central? Mistake! Most of the traffic was 1 lane and Police everywhere? Bumper to bumper? Just terrible? Why have this thing? Hot too?
This has the potential of really being cool event if say on East Camelback and in the bloody winter when it is cool!! |
Fitz, the Cruise on Central used to be a lot of fun but then too many people were getting randy, even into third gear, and it was a disaster just waiting to happen. The mass of people lining the curbs would really appreciate a good hard first gear whoopie, especially if you could get the front tires to come off the ground. The police used to not even make an appearance until 7 or 8 o'clock but now, they are very evident as well as the lurkers and the light rail tracks squeeze everything down to a crawl. No mo fun.
