Try American Modern Insurance. They do a good job with collector cars and are reasonable about the mileage issue. (You can select several different mileage options) And, they are reasonably priced.

I live in FL. I bought a completed Unique in FL 2 days ago. State Farm presently insures my home, 2 daily use cars and a Harley. They could not write a policy for the Cobra. If it was a 1965 Chevy or Ford they would though. Strike one. I completed all the paperwork for Hagerty. Denied becouse of a minir moving violation 2 or 3 years ago. Strike 2. Midwest Classic Insurance just wrote me a policy BUT said I may be cancelled if the underwiter digs into my driving record. Strike 3. My wife thinks I bought a car I cant insure. I have not had any accidents. Holy Cow. I'm 53 years old. How many gear heads having PERFECT 5 year driving records? No one does. I have spent a lot of time sorting through on line quotes as well. Some do not offer crap for liability. Beware.

Did State Farm tell you why they would not cover the Cobra?

Because they do not longer insure hot rods or specialty limited production vehicles. Only like if it was real steel maunfactured by one of the big three. Didnt really give a solid reason.

American Collectors Insurance (used to be American Hobbist) has treated me well. Good price, good coverage, and promptly paid me when I totaled my car. Following Danr's lead, I thought about insuring for a $200,000 or $300,00 value but decided not to.

We in Arizona just go to driving school every 2 years so "points" don't show up on your record? Thought my guy would fix you right up? Condon Skelly is a good one as well?
What can I say about the east and west coasts heads? Your probably will have to silent headers and only allowed to drive between 2am-4am. Too many people walking around that can't see, hear, or speak English! Hear in Arizona we all speak "old texamexicanie", have pony tails, wear our side arms and speed
