Default New AZ Cobra owner/team member

Good morning AZ team-

I am excited to say that I am a proud new owner of a Backdraft (#531) cobra. I've been following this site, and even more, following AZ's club forum for a while now and all I can say is that you guys really look out for one another and regularly provide helpful insight on all questions across the board. I live in Scottsdale and will be taking possession (delivery) of my new cobra early next week.

If I may, I wanted to inquire who/where I could find a trustworthy mechanic for the car here in AZ. I've heard Dean's Hot Rods was a very reputable place, but wanted to get a collective opinion.

I'm looking forward to contributing to the local cobra community, and perhaps joining in on a ride upcoming as the weather cools down.

Thanks to everyone in advance,

Kelly

Jeff Classic, nobody knows a cobra better, he builds his own brand of cobra for christ sake.. He has also gone down the quarter mile more times than Elvis got laid..

See there guys.. we've fooled another one.. Kelly, don't believe anything you read about these guys especially if it's good. We have fun but thierein lies the issue. Seriously, we do have fun and these are a great group of guys. Charlie at Dean's is about as knowledgeable as anyone you'll find. Jeff is also in the same class. So you have two good mechanics. Our next outing in the planning stages is a two day run up the Coronado trail probably in mid September. Keep an eye peeled here for more information and as mentioned earlier, but sure to send MikieC your email address so he can send you all of the updates on club activities.

Welcome. Where in Scottsdale are you. I have used Modern auto. He is very familiar with cobras. He is located near the 101 and deer valley.

Good lookin' car Kelly. I'm fond of silver, and I like the red contrast.

Kelly, Good God! what the heck are those weird round things on your dash and that thing hanging off the front of your engine? Surely not AIR CONDITIONING!
BTW, welcome to the madness. Nice looking ride!

Jeez Mikiec, Change the color of your car? If you did that, you'd have to finally change your underware.

AC? Next he'll get power steering, automatic trans, and he'll paint it yellow.

Karl, You better than to accuse Mikie of something so drastic.

"AC? Next he'll get power steering, automatic trans, and he'll paint it yellow." Only after he runs it through the wall in the garage.
