Default New Owner in AZ

I just took delivery of Superformance SPO1800 that I bought out of California. I understand that there are "regular" get-togethers around the Phoenix metro area. When, where, who, etc??? I live on the west side near the Cardinals stadium.

Thanks,

Welcome Bill.
I'm sure MickieC will post. Give him you're email and you will get all the info on what and where. They get together on that side of town.

Oh Bill, Bill, Bill. The madness begins. Be very wary of those Westsiders, especially Bob Bro. He has a proclivity for blow up sheep, but he has had his SPF for a long time and can surely help with about any questions you might have. Look forward to meeting you at some of the upcoming runs.

Welcome to the ultimate car. Some of us AZ Cobra guys meet every Tuesday evening about 5pm for dinner at the 5 N Diner at 75th Ave and Bell rd about 5pm. Join us. We also meet Saturdays in the parking lot of the Goodwill at Lake Pleasant Pkwy and 83rd Ave about 4pm, weather permitting.
Don't believe those east side guys, they lie.

AZ Bob

HI Bill H. We met out at the Buckeye car/air show. Glad to hear that you have your new toy. Be careful for the next 500 miles, drive, drive, and more drive until you learn how it handles.

We are putting something together for this Saturday.

Send me an email and I'll add you to the list.

We have one rule. If you show great, if not..we don't care.

Welcome & congrats on your new car. I'm wondering if we met at the Buckeye air fair recently? Were you on crutches there?

I had the red Cobra w/white stripes & soft top, hood was open - 427 w/dual quads.
I removed the top for the ride home.

You were going to Calif. to pick up an SPF...
sounds familiar.

Welcome!

Thanks,

(East Side)
Will

Welcome. Ignore the silliness. I'm sure glad I never get wrapped up with the silly east side vs west side stuff. Enjoy your car.

WillisT - I am the guy on crutches you met at the Buckeye Air Show. The doc let me start walking again ~ 2 weeks ago.

Everyone - Thanks for the welcome. I will try to make it to the 5 and Diner tomorrow.

Bob Broburg - I do have some questions for you when we meet.

Bill, That puts you in the majority. EVERYONE has questions for Broberg! Well, everyone except Mikie and he already knows.

Hope you don't expect Bob to share the sheep.

What happens at the 5 N Diner stays at the 5 N Diner.

Talking

This is nothing compared to the whining, crying, sniveling and bashing that goes on in racing sites in this state.

BillH....I want to invite you to Firebird on Thursday, April 25th. There is a track event with the Pantera Club thur and friday. (See my posting on the subject). It may be too early to track your Cobra but at noon there will be some parade laps for anyone that wants to go on the track behind a pace car (45mph). No helmets or tech inspection required. You can take a guest too. Great way to see the track and take a few laps. There will be lots of cars there for show and shine and several classes on trace events. Will Talkington will be in the novice group and I will be in the intermediate group. Lots of fun and free if you don't drive in one of the events. Hope to see you there. It's fun to take a spirited drive up yarnell but much more fun on the track with no cops or speed limits.
