I reserved a fabulous room on the upper deck which oversees pit row. There's always someone tinkering with their car. Scotch and Cigars will be served, along with a few jokes !

If you have to tinker with your car, the rest can use your balcony.

Mikiec, good point. I have kept my Flight Instructor Certificate active because I thought that one of the grandkids would take an interest in flying, alas, no luck so far. I do need it because I still give the Biennial Flight Review. My plane should be back in the air by September. You will have a good time, make sure that you take lots of photos of the road and people.

You can always recognize John's plane. It's white with silver doors and stickers all over the vertical.

Clifton/Morenci to Springerville/Eagar: 123 miles, 6000 foot elevation change, 460 curves & switchbacks; it just doesn't get much better.

Below is a link to a May 2013 Arizona Republic article that includes 21 photographs about driving the Coronado Trail.

Dan,
I think Sunday morning we should get up, have coffee, and put a few miles down before breakfast. Works up a good apatite. Everyone that lives in Springerville was there for breakfast last time.

Scotty, that breakfast was OK last time. You're just upset they don't serve Bloody Marys.

We are staying at the Hannigan Meadows Lodge, they have a bkfst buffet. So, well be up to see the morning start over the meadow while having a leisurely bloody mary and then back on the road again.
