Default Coronado Trail Run

I received an email from the Gil this morning and it looks like September 21 is a firm date for the Coronado Trail Run, so mark it on your calendar. I'll fill in details as we get closer, but it looks pretty much like the same routine we followed last time.

Karl, be careful with that thinkin stuff. It can damage the soft tissue.. that's the tissue soften from direct exposure to the sun, that is.

Dan, I will be in class in Phoenix renewing my flight instructor license on the 21 and 22. However, I'll make sure that the Tucson guys are aware of it. Thanks for doing it again.

Just got this from Gil Mares from the Pantera Club.

In either case, time to look ahead and plan for the Hennagan Meadow drive. The date is September 21st, two and a half months away. High in the mountains, following the Coronado trail. I just bought a new camera and look forward to snapping of some cool pics.

We will be traveling with the Cobra car club along with the Lotus car club. We will be staying the evening in Springerville after having lunch at Hennagan Meadows.

If you plan to go, please make your sleeping accommodations with America's Best Value Inn, use the group code "Cobra Auto Club" and get special pricing of $64.88 for a double or $49.39 for a single bed. Their phone number is 928-333-2655, and for your GPS 136 W. Main.

John.

When was the last time you taught someone to fly? Skip the class and drive.

Dan, I've got my room reserved. I'd share it with Scotty but it has only 1 bed.

I didn't think Scottie would ever sleep in the same quadrant, much less same room, with Bob B. Did he get some real high performance hear plugs?

My wife (Christine) and I are in. We'll be staying at Hannagan Meadow Lodge (Hannagan Meadow Lodge - Lodge rooms and Cabin rentals. Ski, hike, fish and relax in Arizona). We have the Coronado room reserved.

Below is a sunrise photo from a previous trip of the Cobra parked by the lodge. Beautiful place, beautiful route, and lots of beautiful cars. We're really looking forward to it.
