Back in Black
Greetings Az Cobras
It's been a while since I've been on here but I finally got my Lonestar back yesterday and thought I would check in to see what's happening. Looks like most have survived in my absence and I am looking forward to getting caught up with everyone. At the least coming back might slow Redsnakes whining and between the 2 of us we will get to more events and gatherings.
Thanks. Lonestar #024

024, welcome back. Glad to see that I'm not the only one that has taken 4+ years to get their car back on the road. My excuse? Lack of skills and ability on my part, not to mention just a little poor judgement and some bad luck. Can't change the past but will certainly try to stay on pavement going forward.

Thanks guys. Last time I remember Karl you took a detour in the desert. How long have you been back up and how is you cobra handling now? I'm sure it's fine.
Good to hear from you Dan and Mike. I feel as though I never was gone. Ralph is already talking about when he gets back but he's not in to big of a hurry cause of the melt down factor. The wife and I have plans to run more with the group this time around so get used to me as I won't make the mistake of loosing my cobra again.
Thanks again. Lonestar #024

Never "DONE" but did take my sweetie out for a ride this morning. She liked the new seat and additional foot and leg room. Trying to talk her into the Colorado Trail run, but am getting some resistance. I can see her point in that just riding a long distance, as a passenger, gets boring since she can't even hear her iphone and the bellow of the engine isn't music to her ears.

Mikie, that's cruel. Probably true, but cruel. Congratulations Karl.... Bribe her.. Offer her a beautiful ride, a passable lunch, mediocre dinner and a great ride home on Sunday. How can she refuse?

Mikec, 'twern't the twisties that got me, either time. Poor choice of tires that let me hydroplane in a rain storm and poor choice of engine, which just made 'way too much power and put me into the desert. Wonder what'll happen now, with much more cam and better breathing? Mo Powr, Mo Powr, Mo Powr.

Karl, Mo Powr is on Guadalupe in Chandler. Not many trees down there. It's safe.

I checked out Karl's ride this AM. Sure is pretty with nice new interior top to bottom. Rides better, goes faster and much louder than his old Cobra. Warning.....just don't test his speed unless you like to look at his 'butt'. LOL
