I know I call my Cobra "Babe" and my truck "Baby" so they don't get mixed up or jealous.

My wife named my car soon after I bought her. She is "The Redheaded Mistress". I do think that my wife got the name just right.

I don't think it's a nickname but my wife likes to reference my cobra as "the beast"

My wife calls cobra is the one with "no top", the 56 pick-up is " the one with a top" and the Jeep is "Her Car".

Whatever works...she loves the "No top". Works for me.

Peggy named it the 'Beast' early on.

Over the years during several of the more annoying break-downs, I've been know to call it "this f*****g POS".

"Ricky Bobby"

My cars have gender. A hot tempered, short, wide, loud, and incorrigible Cobra is a "he", whereas my civilized, quiet, and well behave SUV is a "she".

On the other hand, my wife refers to her 345 hp VW Touareg V8 as "Otto Von Volkswagen", and it is a "he". Otto is powerful and fast, with a raspy V8 note, so...

I think for us is a matter of attitude...

I bought my Cobra from a good old boy in Florida named Ricky Ray Robinson. I thought it was only appropriate to name it Ricky Ray. We don't use the name much, but that is his official name. The Beast and Mr. C have been used as well.

Since he is no longer with us I'll share for him. Richard Messersmith named his "Jenny."

Danr, we all know you mean "Chevy Orange" since that's what color your current Cobra is.
