Here's a little video Dana put together for our trip on New Years. He even slowed it down as we went by DPS. Maybe we need some radios and a rabbit.

Good sound, loved the acceleration.
Maybe you need to change the route. Tickets almost every year, are you guys slow learners or what ?

No, I think track day is cheaper AND it's the right place for the so-called 'spirited driving.'
I have to laugh every time I read about these runs and how many fools are ticketed (like they didn't know there was a speed limit), yet when we have an invite to a track day, nobody can 'afford it'...last April, Mike & I participated w/the AZ Panteras on Firebird Raceway ALL DAY for $235.
Last month, it was another ALL DAY track session in Willcox for just $160!!
Was anybodies ticket 'cheaper' than that?
Didn't think so....
I'm just sayin'- we could have a ball ALL DAY w/our cars on a rented track. Actually push the limits of your driving skills or car w/no cops or road traffic to impede us!
OK, I think I made my point, rant over...
Thanks,
Will

Sorry, I did not build this to tear it up at the track. If I want to race it would be in a car that is alot safer than a Cobra.

Kind of a good fast but not too fast but fun. Start in the back of the field and tell everyone else to lap your ass! Now you can enjoy the track.... . Now you can watch everyone else's line and learn...

Fitz….you are right. Fast or slow on the track you learn how to drive these cars under safe conditions. I have to hand it to you for making all 3 days at the Historic's Race at Firebird. You did a great job. I never like to exceed the speed limit by more than 5 mph. On a trip to Laughlin one day the group was up to about 90mph. I fell off the pace and was dong 80 when I notice a AZ HP make a U-turn from the eastbound lanes to catch up an pull over 4-5 westbound Cobra's on highway 40 to give them a "warning". Seems he didn't get them on radar and could only guess at their speed. Dan was leading and was too far and fast for the DOT to catch him. Maybe use Dan as the Rabbit?
Mikiec…been there, done that and not fun for you? As far as safety, it's a lot safer on the track speeding than on a public highway. At least the track has everyone going the same direction. I still try to make 2-3 track days a year and enjoy each one. Too bad it not fun for you anymore. BUT…good for you that you at least tried the track and learned how to handle your Cobra at speeds.
