Phoenix, AZ Cobras set new ticket record.

The Phoenix area Cobras have set a new record for getting tickets on a single run. No longer is one ticket any good, two tickets is ignored, three tickets in a day on one run is the norm, HOWEVER, on January 1, 2014, the guys outdid themselves and were able to obtain four (4) tickets.
Is there a club that can challenge that record ?

mikiec 01-02-2014 04:15 PM

I think this a good challange for the Tucson gang. See if you can beat it. The winner gets ice cream.

twobjshelbys 01-02-2014 06:13 PM

So were they "OK, we were out of line and got caught" or were the tickets "we're here to show you a lesson"?

Where is Scott Collins, aka "The Cop Magnet" when we need him?!!
Larry

Maricopa 01-02-2014 06:49 PM

Hey, 4 tickets still beats 3 wrecked cars!

John-Tucson 01-02-2014 07:38 PM

AAAAAAAAAAH, Maricopa, don't you guys hold both of those records ???????????????

Mikiec, NO.

twobjshelbys, does it make any difference ?

You forgot to mention the Warning Ticket that Don Morse got!! I pulled over behind the first group but the cop told me to leave. Guess he didn't want to get writers cramp.

mikiec 01-03-2014 05:16 AM

Don's was not a warning, it was the real deal.

Yes, we have both records. The Tucson gang needs to step up. Oh, wait a minute one Tucson member Took out a tree or was it a barb wire fence.

Scotchman 01-03-2014 06:46 AM

Karl re-landscaped a whole onramp to the freeway. That's got to count for somethin'. **):JEKYLHYDE**)

mikiec 01-03-2014 08:39 AM

Karl, also re landscaped a median.

Karl Bebout 01-03-2014 01:34 PM

Nien Nein. No medians have been violated by me. There was the unfortunate incident caused by hydroplaning off the pavement on the way back down to Heber, many years ago.

Unless Don lied to us, it was a warning.

Maricopa 01-03-2014 02:18 PM

Mikie said he misunderstood and realized it was a ticket after he got home.

mikiec 01-03-2014 03:41 PM

Don DID NOT lie. He misunderstood what the officer told him. At the Golden Nugget he re-read the summons and it was not a warning. We then had a discussion as to whether he should pay the ticket or take the class. That is up to him.

Mike

Mike

That sounds more like it…I hope he takes the class. Crazy not to.

Karl,

I remember you coming back from your excursion in the area between east and west bound roads with bush and tree parts stuck everywhere.

RedSnake351 01-03-2014 06:19 PM

Sometimes it's not bad to get stuck behind a bunch of slow-pokes. I had just started to pass a couple of cars when I saw Mikie rotating his hand above his head and decided to let off the throttle.:)
I owe you big time, Mikie, you saved me a heap of money!:D

Carl,
I happened to be the guy that was behind the most artful maneuver to return to the road I've ever seen. It reminded me of a scene from romancing the stone with limbs and debrey flying everywhere. If you peed your pants nobody would've known because of the rain.

Hersh:)

mikiec 01-03-2014 08:12 PM

Ahhh, confirmation.

Thanks Hersh.
