Default Buckeye Air Fair & Car Show Feb 8th

Hey Bill,

Are you up for orchestrating this event again?

Here's a link:
Car Show

Several of us went last year. Thanks to bumper Bill, the organizer allowed us into the car show w/out the entry fee, but we weren't in the judging competition, either.

Thanks,
Will

I lost my "Baton" this year. I wasn't too thrilled with the show last year besides the fact that my distributor took a s**t and had to tow it home. They didn't then and don't now have a decent category for our Cobras. I would just go as a group and park together in the parking lot. I'll call them and see if they will let us park over by the show again. Thx

I thought that the air show and car show was very good for the size of the area. The parking that we had was excellent, we were right in the middle of the show. Lots and lots of people stopped to ask questions and talk about our cars. Of course those that left early and left only four of us kinda' gave the impression that we as a Cobra group didn't think much of the show.

So far I have been unable to contact them via email. Address is not valid. There is no phone contact either. Will keep trying
Bill

Will call Tom Jones Ford tomorrow and try to get contact number...

Default Buckeye Air Fair Car Show

Finally contacted Paul Daffenrude, coordinator for the car show event. He welcomes us back to the fair again on Feb 8th. He asked how many would be in attendance and I had to guess around 10+. I think we had more last year.
I mentioned that some of us were critical of the rough road leading to the show area and he said they are setting up another area away from the bad roads. There should be a sign near the entrance for the car show attendees to park. If you want to enter the show you can access Crusinarizona.com to download flyer and registration forms.

If you all would like to meet and caravan over to the show, let's set up a time and place the morning of the 8th.

Thanks Bill, for taking control of this event. It was fun last year. Long drive out there but at least we didn't have to stay the whole day until judging.

Maybe they should make a category for "Real American made Muscle from Scratch" ? I mean they got the Rat Rod Category?

I noticed in all my show research that no one has a proper category for our cars…looking for Replica cars, Spcl Constructed cars, even "kit" cars. I keep telling them they would have more show participation from us with a correct class.
Maybe someday

"snake rods...snakes eat rats"

Yes, they do.

But they have to catch them first, and that doesn't happen unless the rat is sleeping or the snake is hiding in the bushes.

Last year we met at the Love's Truck Stop off of Miller Road, Exit 114 South on the I-10 for a departure of 8:30am so meet about 8am to fill up on goodies.
Show is 7 miles from the Love's stop South of Exit 109 on Palo Verde Rd.
Watch your speed on I-10. We saw tickets last year.

Ralphie, "Would that be be a copperhead waiting for Don"

Not too many copperheads in southern AZ but there is one kinda nasty Copper Colored Cobra with a RAT motor.
