Default Car Show March 1st.

For those interested in the show on March 1 at the community church in Chandler, I have the pastor's contact information. Drop a note and I'll send it out. What I can't find is the flyer. If anyone has it, please either post or email it.
Thanks,

I'll be going over to the church parking lot the Friday before the show to rope off a bunch of parking spaces. I'll look at the list of registered cars to see how many Cobras are signed up so I'll now how many spaces to snag. (this process was recomended by the show organizer, Bill, when I asked if he would designate an area for us). Pretty sure the folks at the entrance will point Cobras in the right direction, if they want to park as a group, that is. Can't imagine anyone would want to be UNSOCIABLE. ha.

BTW, if you registered and are not attending, the POlite thing to do would be to let the show folks know so they don't put a goody bag together for you.

Karl, when we get closer, I'll let them know if my car isn't back. I'm counting on it being ready for the Kirk's event however.

Karlos, Just found out that it will be at least 30 days before my car is drivable. So I guess I will miss the show. I will be at Kirks with my truck because I pulled this one together..

Can't find another block the right size so I am going to sleeve this one.

Dan, if you are interested, I can put my feelers out there nationwide for a new short block. Or are you OK with your plans?

Dan
This happened after the Harley car show? Seemed to run fine when you left.

No Dave, it was running rough on the way down. It had been running funny for a couple of days. I didn't know until it got hot on the way home that it was pumping all of the water into the oil.

Danr, you could always blame it on running out of gas....ya know...low on gas, running lean, extreme high combustion temperature created, crak goes de cylinder...

I'm telling you, oppppportune timed to put a Chevy in there....

You'd go through an extensive learning curve of dealing with that much power and reliability, but you could do it!

Bob, Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll hang with this. Sleeving all 8 is expensive, but the few short blocks I found were all sleeved and the couple that weren't didn't have any info on the cylinder wall thickness which, given the history of these motors, is suspicious by itself. It's interesting to note that this is the same cylinder that broke the rocker arm last November. I have to think that had something to do with what's happening.
