Default Tortilla Flats

I have not been there in over 20 years. So..I thought I'de drive over and see how much it has changed.

Anybody interested in joining me...??

I'll be leaving the NW valley at 10am. be in AJ by 11am. I'll stop at the Texaco station we used for our Globe run. Leave there by 11:30 then off to the flats and lunch.

Mike: Was considering joining you on your trek to Tortilla Flats this Saturday but I'm going to install a cam in the 302 this weekend. Plus I don't have snow tires for the Cobra yet !

Good luck, Blair

Blair,

Snow tires....I have skis mounted so I can slide around the coners under some control.

Enjoy getting the cam in. Although it would have been easier when you changed out the heads.

Mike, you are right. It would have been a lot easier when I changed heads but I need the practice. Next I think I'll change pistons

This sounds like a decent plan. However, I have a meeting from 9 till 11 on Saturday AM. What Texaco station are you planning to use as a rendezvous point? Is this a station in Apache Junction?

If you really want practice then change out 1 piston a week.

Chopper,

The Texaco station is on 60 just outside of Apache Junction going towards Globe. If heading towards Globe the station in on the left side of the hi-way. In the area of Gold Canyon ranch. Can't miss it, It is a large station.

Hope to see you there.

Remember to bundle up as it will be chilly.
