FE Motor Source
Bill and Wayne, cobra owners came by tonight and said they know someone named Bob who has FE motors available locally. They will send name & phone to me if they remember.
Just trying to help here.

Try putting an ad on craigslist and also on Racing Junk. Maybe you'll find someone that wants to unload an old boat anchor they've had laying out in the weeds.

Get a Levy motor?
Stage 6 Engine Street Engine
The is a stroked 351 Windsor displacing 408 CI.
Features of this engine include a fully forged rotation assy, Custom solid roller cam, Victor JR heads, Internally balanced, Super victor Intake, 10-1 compression
This engine made a whopping 633hp and 618lbft of torque on the dyno. This was done with unported heads and a Holley 750 carb. That means there is way more in this one.
Like any Levy Racing engine, this is custom built one at a time to customer specs.
Price: $10995 Call to order.

633 hp with unported Victor Jr heads? Uh, no.....
618 lb-ft with only 408 cubes? Uh, no.....
Needs to turn the happiness dial down on the dyno by about 100 hp/100 lb-ft. Getting 1.5 lb-ft of torque per cubic inch is NHRA Pro Stock territory, not something you get out of 408 inches and unported Victor Jr heads that flow about 270-280 cfm.

Looking for a 427 S.O. motor? I have 1 I was planning on building for a Kirkham. Illness changed plans. Std bore service block. New Edel heads, New 3.98 stroker crank. Edel F427 intake. MSD billet dist, recon C6AE rods with arp bolts, all arp bolt kits, Alum cobra T pan from Tony Branda, new Shelby timing cover, new dbl roller chain, etc. Block will need the machine work and new pistons. Will new carb also. Everything else there, I think. Also comes with Lakewood bell housing for 4 spd, Alumn flywheel. New Comp Cams Hyd roller, Morrels roller lifters, Alum polished water pump. Alum roller rockers. All parts NIB except block and rods and bell housing. Aim for build was a 5800-6000 rpm motor with 475-500 hp. Message me if interested. Bob

blykins,
Nice call and I don't think anyone will dispute your creds. There is a lot of "special koolaid" that comes out that is just not quite correct. I choose not to drink it.

Danr, congratulations! Hope it has only two or three sleeves....
Who's doing the machine work and assembly?
Gonna be running and broken in for Rt. 66? Hope so. I think I'm the only one from this end of town doing it.

No doubt I'll have a serious case of swampAZZ after that many miles in the seat.

Roger at Standard Machine is doing the work and from what I was told, there will be exactly no sleeves. (They are the same folks who built CarNut's cute little motor. They come highly recommended.) If I have to drive it every day between the day I get it back and the day we leave for the run, it will be broken in and ready! I hope. All I need besides the car is a couple of weeks without an airplane trip to somewhere exotic....like east Texas.

Yes, Roger does good work. That new, to you, block is in good hands. Did he give you a completion date?

Did he give you a completion date? Not exactly. I told him I needed it for Rt. 66 and he asked when is that? I told him the first weekend in May and he kind of rolled his eyes.. then he said, "We can make that.".. So..
