Nice set up. Your timing sucks though. A few weeks ago, Danr was in need of a BBF but he's cured his problem. There's a "parts for sale" area on CC that would give you wider exposure. Also there's the Racing Junk site with free global ads, you can try. You should have good luck. Seems like the price is darn good.

Hi Karlos, I moved to Surprise last October and I'm hoping that by the End O' Summer I'll be in a position to swap my current set up with a stroked 351W (427) and an automatic. Current pipe dream. I figured I would post with the Az guys only instead of classifieds in case anyone local is in the build process. Didn't want to start an email frenzy which sometimes happens on the CC classified site. Can't ship any of it anyhow. If I don't get any takers, I'll take it out leave it on the engine stand till it sells.

Why would you rather have a small block over the big block?
Seems everyone would rather have a big block for bragging rights.
You going to track this care allot or something?

Default Big Block/Small block debate

A Big block Ford has not proven to be a winning combination for my situation. I have no hood clearance which forces me to run an aircleaner which is so thin that when I mash the gas the engine falls on it's face due to air starvation. Take the air cleaner out of the equation and it runs like a scalded dog. I don't want to change intake manifolds and cut a hole in the hood or build some sort of red neck scoop. Also the oil pan has been crushed and replaced three times due to lack of ground clearance. Also cooling has always been an issue. I have the largest aluminum 2 row 1" tube racing radiator that can fit in the car and in stop and go traffic the temp creeps up. The car runs well but it's had to work a lot harder than I anticipated to take care of Big block Chevelle's and even the occasional newer GTO even gave me a run for a little bit. Just doesn't rev quick enough and doesn't make enough vacuum for my brakes. I could go on and on, but simply the 427 roller motor from Proformance makes as much power, weighs significantly less, is a roller motor (very quick RPMs) will fit under my hood, not drag the oil pan, and will cool better. Doesn't have the vacuum for the brakes however. Personal preference. Forged crank and pistons also a plus.

I beg to differ.
1972 Ford 460 block. 0.030 over built with all aftermarket parts. 550hp on motor plus 150hp NOS. Got 60,000 miles on it now. No clearance problems, no overheat problems. Canton race pan, Ford Blue Thunder intake. Just keeps on tickin. On 5th set of rear tires for some reason.
