Wow, never saw that coming, I mean the move, we all want to retire some day and do nothing. Well mike it was a good run, we had lots of fun and ate a lot of burgers. Crashed cars, fixed cars, seen them come and seen them go....
Good Luck!

You have got to be kidding ! You are going to freeze and your joints and bones are going to hurt. Although the cooler climate is better then 115*. Good luck and don't shoot your eye out.

There are plenty of great driving roads where we will be. There are at least 10 CAS clubs within 1 hr of our place.

That gives each club one day a year when its.not snowing or.raining to hold an event. Oh and don't.forget you moose.lights and reflectors. I learned about those when.I was.looking.for.a.car.

CAS shoots in the rain and snow. I'm good with that.
We were talking about Moose encounters. Had a close encounter with an Elk up near Heber one year.

He's the one that likes to park in the direct path of a burn out event.

It's only a direct path if the guy driving the car doing a burn is aiming for the guy sitting off to the side.

Mikiec, I am available if you need someone to drive your cobra back there or I'll even ride along with you. Do you have a tentative date to leave here ?

John,
Thanks for the gracious offer. After covering fuel, your room and meals plus your flight back I'm not sure it would save me money. Let me think it over.
I was going to call Stewart Transport this week and make arrangements to have the car delivered to FFR after the 29th of September.
Mike

Mikiec, I can do it starting Saturday, Sept. 13th, and the rest of the month. It will take three days to drive there, about 3,000 miles, assuming that the weather cooperates.
The flight home to Tucson can be out of Boston or Manchester, use the senior rate. Let me know if I can help .

Mikiec, I just did a Google maps search and it is only 2,710 miles and 40 hours of driving. The preferred routing is thru Cleveland and upstate New York which is always prone to less than clear blue skies. Does your Cobra have holes in the floorboard so that the rain water can drain out? Looks like an easy trip along a route that I have driven over a dozen times in my Cobra. I would prefer a flight out of Boston, that would give me a chance to see the oldest son who lives there.
