to mikec, Carl
Hello Mike,

My name is Darwin Borden and I live in Minnesota. I am involved with A fiberglass guy in Apache Junction who is building a Gull Wing Hard Top for NAF Cobras. His name is Carl Coleman. Carl is looking for someone with an NAF 427 Cobra who is willing to let Carl fit the top to the Cobra. I suspect we could work out a nice deal for the volunteer if he likes the top.

I was working with Jack Kube, owner of NAF, until he passed away in 2011. I have one of his 427's but it is here in Minnesota and I do not plan to return to Arizona with my car until next February.

Please let me know if you can help find a donor. My phone number is 763-670-4771

Pretty sure "Carl" is the man that worked on my NAF body, since it was such a piece of crap, from Jack Kube. He had been the body shop manager for Jack (NAF) 'way back in the 80s and I think he enjoyed getting to work on a Cobra again. He did an excellent job and really knows his craft. There had been another NAF car in the valley but I don't know the owner. I'd met him at a little car show in East Mesa at a dive bar run by Danr Shinn's buddy. That car was for sale, back then so don't know if its still around.

My brother has the NAF here in Arizona and has decided again to put his Cobra up for sale. We were the ones that saw you, Karl, at that dive bar in East Mesa.

Jeff Guisto: (Jeff Guisto)jguisto@fenderusa.com had an NAF I think. Used to live here and work in CA. Haven't seen him is a long time. Nice car with an FE motor. I'll try sending him an e-mail.

Jeff did not have a NAF. The make eludes me. I should know who it is as they made my seats.

Just remembered, He had a Hi-Tech.

Bill, is your brother's car a 427 or an FIA? I can't remember.

Mikiec,
"Just remembered, He had a Hi-Tech."
Was it a Hi-Tech built in Tempe, back in the 90s? They were sure nice cars. Business operators...not so much.

Mikie, you are right. My memory lapses like Karl.
