Yo Danr, maybe if you would a put more effort into finding the right car, you wouldn't have had all the mechanical problems that have litteraly PLAGUED your current car?

Karl, I take personal responsibility for the majority of issues that have plagued my current car. I've worked very hard at finding all of the issues that I can and neglected intermediate maintenance just so I can learn.. Believe me, I've learned a lot. Primarily not to ignore intermediate maintenance. I found the right car, I just needed to find the right time.. that starts in January!

It was March but got moved ahead by two months because I didn't want to fly across the pond again.. Two more trips are sufficient.

Danr, I just knew it! YOU caused the block to crack. YOU caused the cylinders to be out of round. YOU caused the rocker to break. YOU caused the valve to drop. etc, etc, etc.

In all fairness, I did cause one of my problems.

Ratti-Dan,

I'm definitely the cause of my problems, I ran the car out through the desert almost 6 years ago and I ran it up the side of that mountian last month. Definitely will be taking it easier with the next car since it won't have the stoopid power so there won't be any need to make it go fast.

You wise men got off track. Where are we going in March ? I like the mountains around Sierra Vista. Apache Country. Lets find a great Mexican restaurant down there for lunch, then head over to Bisbee for the night. We can head back next day and have ice cream in Eloy.

See, that's just the kind of trip we could do for March. This year leave it to Rick and Kelly. But that trip is certainly possible.
Just bring enough Scotch and cigars.

So was it Dan, Dan or Karl that blew up my diff? Need to get the culprit ID's so I can redirect the death squad.

Scottie, I pledge $10 if after your burnout you scream "what's my name B**tch" thru a megaphone....thinking that would go over well?!

and the March trip sounds like a great idea, would love to join, and it seems likely it will be in a Viper. Car should arrive first week of Nov from east coast. Meanwhile getting fair bit of action on the Cobra. Still not too late for one of youse to double up and have a second car as backup.

Pete, I can think of one, soon to be retired, Cobra owner that should buy your car, as a back up, just so he'll probably have at least one running at any given time. Of course, you might have to throw in a couple cans of Chevy Orange paint....

Didja lay eyes on your Viper, in person, or did you trust the seller? I had a friend, years ago that bought one, sight unseen, and it was a perfect car. I just shudder at spending that much money without some touchy-feely of my own.

Be sure to post pictures when you get the car, so we'll know who to harrass when we see you.

Sorry Scottie...I know...'way off subject. I SWEAR I won't do it again

until the next time.

Well I didnt see it myself, but I got a Viper club guy out there to go look her over closely. He went over her closely and gave me a very detailed report including pictures, so next best thing to being there I think. Pics coming soon...

Count on that Bob, unless the cobra goes next week. Have a guy looking tomorrow. We shall see. But would be a great pic to have that's certain.

So our friend Charlie got me a free entry pass to show the cobra at the cool FM show they were sponsoring at west gate today. Cobra took top 2 roadster award. 5 other cobras and a dozen or two 30's ford roadsters. So despite not being "you can see it from space" orange, at least some one else likes her looks. Dan maybe you really should have a back up car?!? Really gonna miss playing in that car. I'll find you all ASAP once the viper arrives. Thinking highest bidder gets first drive, the vipers leaving a big empty spot in my bank account!
