Default Great Customer Service from my Insurance

I received my settlement check yesterday, five weeks to the day, from driving my Copper Queenie up the side of a mountain, on the Coronado Trail. Not only did I receive reimbursement for my towing bill, over AAA's first 100 miles, within two weeks, their process and my adjuster, Paul Naber, were excellent. Paul has 10 years experience working in a custom builder's shop so he understands the complexities and expenses involved in a car like mine. Rather than assign an estimator, that probably wouldn't know custom cars, he asked that I pick whoever I wanted for an estimate. I took the car to Scott's Coachworks, in PHX and after inspecting the car, their estimator discused it with Paul and sent him pictures of the damage. Paul reviewed them, with some of his co-workers, and quickly came to the conclusion that the car was totaled.

Great customer service is rare but I certainly received it from Paul at American Modern Insurance Group. I've decided on another Cobra, but since no deal is done, until the money has changed hands, and the car has pulled away from the curb, I ain't talkin' bout it. You can bet that I'll be staying with AMIG. They have done everything I could ask for to earn my business.

Nutster,

The next car's color isn't nearly as "bling-ie" but is an unusual color and has many more than redeeming features. I do like "different".

Thought a nice medium blue with white stripes would help me stand out in the crowd. Not as much as Chevy orange, but still plenty nice.

I can echo what you said about AMIG. I had a small accident with my Cobra this summer and had an excellent experience with these guys. Same story, he told me to just find someone that I trusted and had confidence in to do the repairs and send them the estimate and some photos. Had the check in about a week. That's the way insurance should work, especially with collector cars like ours.

Ratti-Dan, The first two ads are 'way above my pay grade. The Unique looks pretty nice but I'd fear that its had a whole lot of track time. Not necessarily a bad thing, but could be. Don't really know anything about Uniques but have heard that they were good quality, pretty much right behind the premier ERAs.

Earl, my adjuster recommended talking to Heacock Ins. 800-678-5173. He said they have a bunch of drivers and even some Cobra owners on staff. Ask them about AMIG. I'd gotten my policy through a local agent, here in AZ and will probably stay with them until I have reason not to.

I wonder if AMIG told the adjuster to recommend Heacock to you?
