Default 2015 AZ Cobras Picnic Date Choice

I'm being 'way proactive here cause that's just the kinda guy I am.

I hope the way I posted a poll works but anyway, I'm looking for input as to preference of dates. Either April 4th or the 11th.

SITE TO BE DETERMINED, LATER.

April 4, 2105?

April 11, 2015?

I hate making decisions.. I much prefer that you pick for me and just tell me where to be and when to be there as I take instruction so well. .... ??.....Who said that?

Both dates work for me but I voted for the 4th as it may be cooler.

Default April 4th or 11th?

Leaning toward the 4th like Rat Boy but, March Tucson trip may be an influence.

Here are the race schedules for April:

Sometime in March, overnight in Tucson. Routes and destinations to be determined. Just an idea who's time has come. There is so much to see around South and East AZ and by March we are chomping to drive. Most likely in last half of month. More in February as it develops.

This far in advance, either date is fine with me. I drive to Tucson at least once a month to see family. March drive I can schedule with that.

Fitz, How is the parking? Are the cars close to the tables?

By an overwhelming margin, April 4th was chosen to be the date for our next CC Picnic. I looked at Red Mountain Park, out here in God's Country. There are several decent ramadas with nearby restrooms, lots of grass, and adjacent paved parking. Its within a half mile of the 202 freeway, for easy access. I'm going to check with the city Parks/Rec people to see what the deal is. Also thinking about Scottsdale's Railroad Park, Tempe Kwanis, Chandler Freestone, and Gilbert Tumbleweed. I still also like the old standby, Rattlesnake Cove, but think maybe a change is due. Any Suggestions?

What's wrong with Rattlesnake Cove?
The drive there is great, I think.

Frankly the facilities at rattlesnake cove leave something to be desired. Everyone crowds under a small cover to get out of the sun. I like the idea of Red Mountain Park.

I like Red Mountain Park also. Let's mix it up. A nice change would be if DanR brought steaks for everyone !

Have faith in Karl. He will figure the event out and we appreciate his time and effort.
I'm good with whatever we end up with. There is no "fail" in the cards.

Scottie, I'm betting that if we waited for Danr to bring steaks for everyone, there'd be a lot of us going hungry.

How about something a little out of town. Maybe Canyon lake would be nice if we can keep Karls car off the cliffs and on the road.

Steaks , Stogies , and Sugarman ! ( hold the scotch for the daily drive ) Maybe we get some marinated Tri-tip for everyone. I'd pitch in for that. Maybe make it a big pot luck. What you think Danr ?
