Good luck with that project Ron. I'm sure that you will be up and running soon.

Ron, "I am not the master mechanic most of you guys are and I could find the source without taking the wheel/tire, drop the tank etc to get to all the lines. With the cobra out of the garage I plan to spend some time this weekend working on getting my 69 triumph gt6 running again. It hasn't been for 6 months"

You're a brave man, messing with Lucas, the prince of darkness. Keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Will do. I had one for a first car so about 2 years ago I imported a right hand drive one from England. Needless to say more rust than I even thought it would have but a labor of love. Me and my neighbor replaced the rat chewed wiring harness( not fun when they only make one for a left hand drive and I have a red) and she will crank button not fire.

The funny part is that is is so short and low to the ground it makes the cobra look big!

Well, after a few hours of trying the triumph still isn't running but no fires from the wonderful Lucas electric system. It turns over ( an improvement over not cranking at all) and is getting fuel but no spark. It has new plugs, wires etc. I a, thinking maybe the distributor. Oh well, I will stay at it.

I just spoke with the gallery. They are going to try to secure parking for 15 cars. So we have a bit more room.

Dan:

It looks like I will be back in town on the 15th, so if there is still a spot available count me in.

If it is an old point style ignition and has power to it, try replacing the points and condenser.

Hey guys, we have 11 signed up and room for 15. Can we get 4 more cars? If not they may try to fill the space with Chevettes or Ferrarris....or are they Corvettes? I keep getting them confused...

Keith, I think we'll just wander in as we can get there. Rush hour traffic would make it difficult to meet up. Please plan on being at the gallery around 5:30. The shindig starts at 6 and the PD needs time to clear the street. So 5:30 to 5:50 would be best.
