Default 18 Cobras - no waiting

Here are a couple of pictures from the 1st anniversary
party for the Arizona Cobras. The second photo is a
combination of four shots that I Photoshopped together
(quickly). You'll probably have to scroll across it to see
all the cars. This wasn't even all the cars we had -- just
the first 18 that showed up. Enjoy.

Shorts do I see shorts. 31 degrees, I have my flight jacket ,Bandana, "Drive it like you stole it" ball cap and cute driving gloves that let my fingers get numb. Seven more years till I retire and Arizona looks good to me . If the wife wants to come thats fine but everything but the car is getting shipped.

dam it's cold!

Thanks for the pics Ben.

I need to get on the stick and get mine scanned in and posted.

BCOMPY...It was a great day temp was about 74 degrees. Little warmer than the average of 69 but wonderful.

Seven years...can you wait that long?? Come join us when you do.

Correction it is Saturday morning 12/22/01 0900 hrs and 27 degrees clear skys and supposed to hit 42 . Lets see how many of the Long Island Cobra He-man Women Haters Club buckle up and head down to the pit for our breakfast meeting.
Ok so I am waiting for 10 o'clock and a nice balmy 30 degrees !

Seven years isn't bad, I am a lifer. Twenty three flew by. Any chance all the roads in Arizona will be paved by then. My teeth clench at the thought of those rocks pinging off the paint.

Bcompy,

All major roads are paved. Some of the roads in the remote areas are still dirt.

The only reason we parked on dirt at BT Snake's house. It was the only area we could get all the cars lined up. The dirt strip is/was his runway for the silly little plane he used to own.

I call it a plane out of respect for the Wright Brothers. Actually it looked like something they would have built but then put a plastic sheet over it to hide their work. We wanted him to pave the strip but he was to busy playing golf. We want him to complete the GT40 but he is to busy playing with the stick and ball.

Some guys are just jelous cause us retarded..uh I mean us retired guys have a lot of time to play.
Here is a picture of my plane. I sold it 4 months ago because a friend made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I will build another plane in the future. My runway is covered with granite chips so there is no dust. Our tractor has a gannon that keeps the runway super smooth.

Hersh

PS Oh yeah, I played golf yesterday and shot 77.
That's fromthe tips too !

Okay Hersh -- so what did you shoot on the back nine?

Seriously -- I didn't know you were such a golfer. I play some -- used to shoot in the 80's back in my college days. Where did you play?

Ben,
I play over at Awatukee CC. I used to teach there but
I got tired of that real quick. Teaching golf is one tough job.

Bill, That little plane flies like a dream. She cruises at 80mph and has a range of 400 miles.

I swear your killing me with these blue sky pictures. If I can convince one of the kids to apply to West point I can retire a couple of years early. My oldest daughter says the dress greys are very cute but do they let you do your nails ?

You should have heard us all leave.....! I'm sure the neighbors liked it.

I loved the story about the Pumpkin Seed boat you built and the police officer and his smoking Chevy.

Is there anything that you haven't built?
