Check List

Anyone have or use a pre-ride check list they would be willing to share.
I am trying to be proactive this time around and would think a check list could be very handy.

Thanks
Dan

Sure..
1. Scotch 11. Spare thermostadt
2. Cigars 12. Tool bag
3. Wife 13. Scotch.. just making sure
4. Car Keys 14. Dog.. at Joseph's
5. Sun Glasses 15. House Locked and alarm on
6. Oil.checked and full 16. Chairs and sunshade
7. Radiator.. Checked and OK
8. Gas.. in tank and in stomach (too many tacos)
9. Glass cleaner

With a bit of humor thrown in, that's about it. But then this is a daily activity. I don't really do anything different when getting ready for a run.

Dan,
Check your tire pressure, and bring scotch !

My pre-ride check is as follows and should not be mistaken for the annual check up.

1) Wheel safety wires
2) Spark plug wires snug
3) Engine oil and coolant levels
4) Visual inspect header bolts

Dan I made up a check list of 125 items to prepare for 7 to 10 day Super Cruz trips. Not going to post them here. If you ever decide to join the once a year SPF trip you can see it.
For weekend trips I just have to remember clothes, toiletries, snacks, drink, chair, phone and AAA card. I always carry a "repair" bag full of tools and parts.

Dan,

Lessons learned after 70K plus miles....

1. Fill up and go.

Some of my cycling friends use the ABC list: Air (tires), Brakes & Cables. While the first two are obvious and applicable to Cobras, perhaps the C should be Controls (steering, shifting, throttle, clutch). Lights too (stop, turn, headlamps).
