Default Itchin for a GT 40? Look at Hemmings

I just saw an ad in Hemmings for an American GT brand GT40 replica, in Atlanta for $75K. Its been around but looks like it could become a real nice car with some detailing and some tasteful TLC. Wish I could get this old decrepit body in and out of one. Dang all those years of racquet ball!

I like racket ball or squash. Find a place and we can play T Wed or Thursdays? Use to play all the time in Indy at the Indianapolis Athletic Club.

Fitz, my blue-ball days are over. Even gave away all my racquets and stuff.

Default Racquet Ball?

Racquet is for animals...Tennis is the only true racquet sport!! You're both too
old for either.

Oh, Mister Bill! Racquet ball was such an excellent way to take out pent up frustrations and it certainly was not a non-contact sport. I knocked a guy flat, with the ball to the side of his temple, when he ran over into my lane of fire. He went down like a sack of potatoes and then jumped right back up, wondering what happened. I tease him to this day. I also lost 80% of my right ear's hearing by catching the ball flush on the ear a few years earlier. All big fun!

This one? 1966 Ford GT40 for sale #1737253 | Hemmings Motor News

From the ad:
This very car was the first American GT prototype and appeared in the company's brochure. Chris Bramhall, the head of American GT, drove this car for some time before he decided to cannibalize it for components to complete the second kit. A good friend and client of Motorcar Studio bought the partially-disassembled chassis in 2002 and began a six-year process to source (and custom fabricate) the components necessary to put this GT40 back on the road.

The original silver paint was stripped and the body was repainted in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue racing stripes. The car was rewired nose to tail as there were several "first try" problems with the original wiring. A new air conditioning system was installed and the interior completely redone. A new HO 302 cubic inch V8 was built for the car with gorgeous custom headers and a four-barrel Holley carb; it's mated to a five-speed transaxle from a Porsche 911. Rear hub carriers were redesigned to accommodate slightly wider custom wheels and tires. As in the original GT40, this car has twin fuel tanks and gauges with a switch to toggle between the two.

The car was completed (for the second time) in 2008 and has been enjoyed as a nice-weather driver (and very occasional weekend track toy) by our client ever since. Current Georgia registration and clear Georgia title both match the VIN on the car; registered and titled as a 1964 Ford Thunderbird. Street legal with headlights, taillights, brake lights, blinkers, horn and wiper. Full-time rear camera with screen mounted on console.

So it has four seats and sequential tail lights?

There may be title/reg issues with the 4Y8xZxxxxxx VIN in some states for the purchaser.
