Default All most alive

I installed the defective cam and buttoned the engine up yesterday. Put a new clutch and flywheel in front of the 6 speed and slide the engine in place. Still have all the goodies to bolt on but she is very close to alive again. Had lots of help but am sore as hell today after using the shoe horn to slide a big block in. LOL. Jeff

Jeff, why did you install a defective cam?

That is a great question but don't have a good answer. It is a big roller built of unobtainium with a cast iron sleeve/distributor gear. The sleeve/gear was seriously out of round so it kept eating the gear on my dist. Comp Cams replaced the cam but I had to eat all related costs and labor. %^()%*_ darn it!

Hey Jeff, how many years has it been since the brute has breathed fire? Should still have more than enough poop, even with the reduced compression. It'll be great to gave you get out and about, now tht you don't need 110+ octane fuel.

Got her breathing again. Almost forgot how she sounds. Injection needs a little tweaking but it has been way to long. Thanks Rat and others for the offer to help. Mikie, what was that small block remark about? Your SB would be great for use in the APU too fire the beast up anyway LOL. All this work sure made me feel old cause I am sore in places I forgot I had.
