Default Danr55

Would have felt at home today. 4 cobras out for a drive 3 were red.

Car ran fine no issues seems what ever hick up'd yesterday went away.

Karl, T-shirt drive. In case you were going to ask.

Mike

Mikie, I'm glad there are cobra owners somewhere that know what color these cars should be.. glad your hiccups went away without any additional disassembly.

Karl... Oh well.. nevermind.

WOW, Danr, look at the pictures in the "pictures of the Cobra Museum" thread. There's one of several Cobras out in the parking lot that shows two "orange" cars and two "red" ones. Hmmm, I wonder if the "orange" cars are also called "Rangoon Red"? They are radicaly different hues.

Karl,

Those are nice looking Cobras. I had a Rangoon Red 1965 Galaxie 500-XL and it had an orange tint to it but not that much. Of course the sun and light makes it hard to get a really accurate picture of them, so they could be that color.

How is the heat there? We have been in the 103 to 107 range the past few days and it is supposed to get hotter. I took a drive up to Dunsmuir in the Coupe and even with the air going the humidity was really so bad that when I got out of the car I had sweat soaking me and felt as if I were in Louisiana or one of those places.

Ron

Hi Ronnie, We've had unseasonably cool temps and even enough rain to blow off a run last SAT Hopefully we'll get back to our normal toasty 110*

Beloved Danr swears his car is Rangoon Red, but its a lot closer to Chevy orange than red.

Come on...we all know Black was the intended color for the Cobra.

After all, its the Original Sin!

(Hahaa...my friend ran into Bruce Meyer and the CSX2001 yesterday!!)

Was that roll bar custom made for you or Ralphie only?

No, that is not custom. That is the original Contemporary style.. the rag top and the hardtop both fit well with that little roll bar..

YIKES!!!!

I wasn't aware of this, haven't been on the forum that long.

Rear end...their fault?

I understand if you don't want to discuss. I wouldn't either.

Totally Danr's fault. He was parked, off the pavement and the LEO's flashing lights blinded an oncoming driver.

She had an SUV and a cell phone...nuff said? .. we'd stopped to help at an accident scene. Note the DPS car parked next to mine. You can't see it, but the back end of the DPS car got crunched also.. as did the Cobra that was parked in front of mine.
