July 11th - breakfast run north ?

I'm gasing up at the station and heading to meet the others at the Saguaro Lake turnoff ( where the Bush meets the Beeline ). No waiting at the station !

So it's "meet up at the Bush/ Beelne at 5:30am"? I'll ne there unless Scotty wants to meet me at the gas station at 5:15. I have to drive past there anyway.

I should be at the station around 5am. The boys are arriving at the turnoff for a 5:30 departure. We could depart the station around 5:10 to meet them. See you there.

How was the drive to breakfast? Anybody have pictures of the early morning gang on the breakfast run? Wish I could have been with you.

Keith, I fully expected that you would get yer butt rolling and join us this morning, but NOOOOOOO. Six of us: Scottie, Bruce, Danr, Mesa Mike, and Will Talkington came out and had a good breakfast and a nice ride. Scotty played rabbit and kept a brisk pace, dipping into triple digits from time to time. (he SAID he didn't know the PoPo might be out so early, until Danr and I told him we'd seen some a couple weeks ago...spincter time). No harm, no foul. The temperature was so pleasant, I decided to take a longer way home so detoured to Jakes Corner, Punkin Center, Roosevelt, and Globe. Made for a 245 mile round trip for me. No one else was interested. I did luck out, going up the hill, West of Miami, when oncoming traffic flashed their headlights at me and I slowed down so that the waiting sneaky DPS guy didn't get to make me a revenue source. That hill and the one going into Top of the World, are prime ambush sites, speaking from personal experience. BTW, Scotty took a picture at the airport parking lot that perhaps he'll post.

Sorry, no pics. I must have been trying to figure out how my phone works Really enjoyed the ride up and back. Beautiful time of day. Pretty mountains and vistas, and no cops !
