O'Reilly's will do a pretty decent check if you get the car running and take it to them. They will need it running to check the alternator but then shut off to check the battery. Hope your battery isn't in some stooooopid location like the stock FFRs or my ERA. I have to pull the RR wheel off to get my battery out of its cute little compartment and I've heard that you have to get under the car on an FFR.

An alternator is really designed to maintain a charge rather than give a stone dead battery a quick charge. You might want to try giving the battery a few hours charge before trying to start it again. If you were able to connect directly to the battery terminals to jump it, your ground and positive connections are probably OK.

Just think, if you had Lucas, the Prince of Darkness, electrics, how much more fun you could be having.

"It's a new battery, less than three months old." And that matters why? Dave, Arizona probably has more battery phantoms that eat new batteries than any state in the union.. or the confederacy for that matter. I lost the first two Interstate batteries I owned in less than 5 months. Then I got one that lasted for 7 years. No explanation other than "Arizona Battery Phantoms".

My battery is under the bonnet in front of the passenger seat.

It is a pain in the butt to remove.

I still don't know what's wrong with the car.

So, FAST Dave, you got your car running but didn't come to the show you ramrodded. Have you been taking lessons from Danr? He's fairly notorious for suggesting or starting things, getting the rabble roused, and then bailing out at the last minute for a myriad of feeble excuses.

You missed a nice show. Pretty well over 100 cars, 11, or more Cobras, Bob Bondurant' s Gt 40, and lots of interesting people and things to admire. "Old Phart" Bill brought his slick AC and I'm sure he was responsible for getting the GT to come. It's "bundle of snakes" sure make it sound raspy.

Yeah, If you going to offer excuses, at least come up with a creative one, like:

"The offshore weather forecast down in Rocky Point looked pretty good, so I left the Cobra in the garage, towed the boat down, and went halibut fishing instead...."

That's an old fish.

Fast, Why do you have your battery under a frilly hat?

Greetings, the car is running great. Better than me. I did several things to my right elbow, got a shot Friday night before the Saturday show. Shot didn't do much until Saturday night. Tendinitis and arthritis is the cause.

I'm on the plane again heading back to WY, if I can't find any sheep, at least my elbow is working again. I love rural WY.

Stay warm and hopefully see some people at BJ.
