Need Help for Christmas Party Setup

Most of our previous setup ladies have moved on from our cobra world so we are in need of some setup help on the morning of December 5th. I will have tables, heating elements, cloths, plates, utensils, tickets etc. Also need help running the White Elephant program, cleanup and toy collection. I'm sure our excellent members will come forth. Arrive about 9am please.

I want to mention that two years ago, there were a half dozen ladies who put most of the party together and they were a great success. Last year there were just 2 or 3 that put most of it together. This year, those remaining find they can not longer do it any longer because it is just too hard on them physically. We owe them our gratitude for the work they've done on behalf of the group over the last several years.

Thank you Ginny, Caroline, Cathy, Joanne, Diana, and anyone else that I may have forgotten.

With that said, the success of this years party is really going to require people step up on the "set-up" as Bob calls it. So contact Bob and help him coordinate, he really needs the help.

Well Miss Ginny is the only Team member who has actually moved but she and Mikie were huge shoes to fill. Last year the support dwindled to only a couple of the Ladies who worked their ass off. It shows how much time, money and effort has been devoted in the prior years (thank you). We need members to carry the torch.

If there is anything I can do from the far east coast. Just ask.

The Anniversary/Christmas party was a labor of love to put on. I always looked forward to putting it on and seeing our members, that showed, having so much fun. I am glad the club has changed direction away from the Marines to the Children's Hospital. Good choice.

Again, if I can do something to help from here let me know.

P.S. One item on my bucket list is to get every Cobra in Arizona together for 1 event. Can you imagine approx 120 cars at one time for a giant party for just Arizona cars.

P.P.S. This entire anniversary/Christmas event would never have happened without the support of Hershal, Paula, Ginny, Caroline, Cathy. JoAnn and Diana.

Lastly a great thanks to those who have hosted this event.. Hershal, Jim Beaty, and Dennis May

Bob, count me in. I'll be happy to help with the set up and clean up.

You are a good man Karl. No matter what Dave and Dan say. Putting this shindig on is not easy.

HellsBells, if that reprobate Karlos can volunteer to help, there should be a bunch of others lining up....

Is my "Jewish Mother Guilt Trip" working?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 11-10-2015 03:13 PM

I have collected all the accessories for our pot-luck meal setup at 9am except the food and the tables. We have the White Elephant tickets for 1pm start. Karl, how about you running the Gift Draw this year? You seem to be very involved anyway. Car Nut has volunteered to collect tables on Thursday, Dec 3rd. I will accompany him and we will order kick-off food from the Bashas right down the street from the event for 11am pickup. We will need volunteers to help pickup.
Safe burnouts at entry are still OK. We do not have trophies or special rides unless something comes up. Dan Shinn, how about becoming our photographer? You are good at it anyway.
We normally have lots of help with cleanup and toy transfer.
John Bosley is working on our flyer for this year. Out soon.

I think I can do that, Bob.

Need another volunteer

We need someone to step up and bring a large cooler and ice. I already have the bottled water and 1 large cooler should be enough judging on previous years. I'll be glad to pay you for the ice from club money. Show up about 9am to load the water bottles.

Thank You
AZ Bob

Bob.

Are you planning on the Iron Butt and spirited awards? If not, can you send those to me? I'll pay postage.

Forgot about those. We will have to track down who has them so we can recycle.
Please speak up if you have one of these: IRON BUTT AWARD or SPIRITED AWARD.
Thank You
AZ Bob

GOFASTOLDGUY has the iron butt award, as I recollect.

Danr55 11-11-2015 05:50 AM

Karl, If he does, he's keeping in on my desk. The Iron Butt award will be present..

Bob,
I'm happy to help. Let me know what you need help with most. I can take some thing over Friday if there is something large that can go then, if my daughter with let me borrow her pickup.

I can bring the cooler/s that we have used in the past. I think we need a couple to keep the water iced down so I will supply 2 coolers incase the 2nd is needed. Neither fit in the beast so will need to coordinate with the truck for the table run.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 11-11-2015 10:00 AM

10-4 thanks for the help. Dr Bruce, we have the table run planned. Jeff, thanks for the cooler offer. Bruce Bosley or I will pickup your cooler before needed and perhaps Dr Bruce can pickup the ice on Sat am on his way. Bruces are handy to have around.
Now we need to locate the spirited award. I'm guessing it's at Karl's.

Bob, Bruce offered a Friday run. Ice should be picked up when you are already at Bashas getting the chicken, side dish's, and sub.

Karl Bebout 11-11-2015 01:33 PM

By Yumpin Yimminy. I do have the "spirited" trophy. I'll bring it.
