Hey Ralph, I have an empty seat and you know you are welcome to it but I'm up here guarding your homeland. All is GOOD here and I know you know what I mean.
Have a great winter, and don't forget I have something for you.
Hey to Mai, R&M

So, plan to arrive at the Shell Station early enough before 10:30 to fuel up, hit the restroom, etc...
The route chosen was 87 over Mt Ord, then 188 to Punkin Center.
After lunch, it sounds like a few are going to take 188 to Globe, and then home via the 60...
At this point, I am 50/50 myself - I'm not as sick as Danr, but I am still climbing back from a nasty chest cold that hit me like a train on Christmas day.
But I really want to go, so I am keeping up my optimism...

I'll see y'all Friday on Shea. I'll have an empty seat if anyone wants it. As far as Danr will know windows down and no heat!

So, Danr. Since you've bailed on the run, who did you ask to contact the restaurant about how many people they should expect? I'll be in transit, from Jacksonville, all day tomorrow, so I won't be able to do it. I wil be doing the run with Mesa Mike as co-pilot.

I'm sick, too; and just not up for a full day of battling the winds..
Hope you all have fun.

I know you're an hour into your run, but I have the same problems as several others. I had really planned to show my granddaughter the crazy group I hang around with.
Brought this flu / upper respiratory problem with me from up north and can't seem to shake it. Sometimes I'm almost back to normal, then back to the same symptoms.
I know DanR says he's never seen me normal, but I learned 'not being normal' from him.
Thanks, Karl, for checking in on me, it's appreciated.

What a nice run it was today. Poorly attended, but those of us that did it, had a beautiful day for it. Cobra Keith, Ratti-Tat-Tat, Bob and his wife(don't know their last name?) with a nice Red/White stripe car, Paul Gillespie and his sweetie (looking for his iron butt award, from AWOL Danr, Me and Mesa Mike as my navigator, Pete Miller had the top down on his Viper, and Art (?) with his uber sweet Daytona coupe. Grumpy brought his Porche to the Shell station, but didn't do the run with us. The temperature was a bit nipply but everyone dressed for it and the sun was shining brightly. The food at Butcher's Hook was fine, service was fine and we were able to line up a few tables to accommodate us, as a group. Three other cars went with me on through Roosevelt to Globe to get back to the valley and the others back tracked their route. I totaled 215 miles, my car ran good, nothing broke, and I didn't climb any mountain sides. We saw a few LEOs but I don't think anyone was a revenue source, unless any of the back trackers contributed.

Thanks Bill. Knew it was one of those "A" names, just picked the wrong one. He's certainly made it even nicer since he got it from Manny several years ago. I've often thought I'd like a Daytona but the one time I tried to get in one, I realized I'm too tall, too fat, and too old to be flexible enough. Darn roofs/tops get in the way.
