I looked at Butcher Jones, and really liked it, but there are not any covered tables. Lots of tables, grills, and potties, but the area I found has all these plus covered tables, drop dead scenery, and the water is maybe 40-50' away.

Is that area at the end of the launch/parking area?
That area is very nice but gets full of cars very early.
Either way, it sounds good.

Rat tat tat, You are correct about the location. After bypassing the marina, to the right, continue to the end of the road. I figured it would get full, quickly, but plan on getting there no later than 8am. Hopng that a couple of the local guys will also show up early and we can do our best to snag a bunch of parking spaces. So early in April, maybe the place won't get terribly crowded, early in the morning. I'm sure the water will be plenty cold. Sure is a nice location.

Karl...count on me to be there early to help hold some space. I'm sure we can get Dave and Hector to help too. Lorraine can come later with the girls so they don't have to arrive so early. Lynn and Judy can meet up here with Lorraine.

Hey aliedog, 165 each way would make for a fine day's Cobra ride. It would be great to have you, and your sweetie, come to the picnic, after, of course, you hit Ikea.

I hope to have mine on the road by then. Might be tight but I have my fingers crossed that everything falls into place to make it happen.

"The Tonto pass is now up to $8.00?"

According to Ranger Joe that I talked to.

Az Mike, You certainly are welcome to come without your Cobra. We even have people who don't own one. (don't know what's wrong with those people?)
AZ Cobra Mike likes this.
