"Hey Mikie, I think it's neat that you park your cobra right next to your snow blower."
They are probably right next to his 4WD Outback and Jeep.

Had to move the snow blower out of the way to get out of the Garage. Sadly during the winter the snow blower gets first priority.
The Cobra was out again today.

Hey Robert - looks like I'll be saving on gas for a while...since I won't be driving it very far from home. A strange, new vibration has started that I have yet to identify. I was trying to keep up with a minivan on highway 87 (stop laughing Karl, there is more to the story than I will tell here) and first heard/felt it pulling away from a stop light near home. I confirmed the flex plate, bell housing and convertor bolts are all present and tight. Since the engine still sounds so good, I'm going to look at the dampener, engine mounts and drive shaft next.
I sure hope this is an easy find and fix. But if not, maybe its time for a BIGGER engine?

Drive it til it breaks. Then you will know for sure what the issue is or was. LOL LOL
Does it happen only while moving? Vary with speed? Only at one speed?

mikiec - I've considered driving till it breaks but then I would need a tow home and don't want go through that. I will start a seperate thread about the problem and get everyone's thoughts.
Dwrat - now you are trying to force me to tell the story. In truth, I don't know what the driver looked like. I'm just trying to maintain my innocence on the board. But I will include a legally permissable version in the new thread. Ok, it really wasn't that big of a deal (especially when I hear some of the guys talk of their own cobra exploits) but it did involve short bursts of speed above the posted limit. Similar to when we were all trying to keep up with Karl as he passed traffic on the cruise I joined.
Todd

" Similar to when we were all trying to keep up with Karl "...when has keeping up with Karl ever been a problem...unless you didn't want to drive into the trees or the hillside?

Todd- Sorry to hear about your vibration issue - Remember the old rule of thumb- if the vibration is speed specific, its probably tires/rims/wheels bearings... If it is RPM specific, then it is something in the drivetrain...
Let me know if you need a hand, or a 2nd set of eyes to look things over...

Dan - that is exactly what I meant...things start to get a little "white knuckled" at those speeds!
Robert - I may very well ask for help once I start digging into this. Thanks for your offer.
