Isn't Karl still in the work release program with sheriff joe? Other than that he has my vote - Dan too... Form a executive committee to elect the board of directors who then would elect the officers to make all the hard decisions.

Then you could have dues and meetings. LOL. Broberg and I get a portion of the dues, just like always.

Mikie, Your share will be reduced by the pony express fee to get it to you. Broberg's share got reduced because...just because he was getting too much. Besides, the Master at Arms fee more than doubled.

Dan...correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Route 66 planned a year or more in advance? Many other events like Huntington Beach are always the 3rd saturday in April. We have about 350 days of sunshine here. Whats the harm in putting together an annual calendar and adjusting due to weather if necessary.

I threw this out a few weeks ago, and, gasp!, no one has offered any ideas, much less, stepped up. WAZZUP?
"Where and how and WHO could put a calendar together and have it be EASILY accessible to all of us? There's gotta be someone among us with the needed skills."
I'm just knowin' there's gotta be a 'puter geek' amongst us that could crank this out.

Thanks Robert, I can see the calendar and change months. There is a comment that says I do not have permission to see events but, I'm sure that can be overcome with a sign on and password. The page appears to be printable also and display in months or weeks.
Nice find!

Cool - Thanks Bob!
There you go Karl- One free online calendar. I will write up another post/thread with instructions about how to login, and add/edit events...

Excellent! Now, anyway to have it post notifications to our AZ Club Cobra when an event is coming? Also any way to have the calendar be a pop up that could be accessed from our CC?
Asking a lot?

Mike, there is no harm in setting up an annual calendar and adjusting for weather if/as necessary. If you are adjusting for weather, and you realize you need to have that latitude, why plan a year in advance only to have the plan change a week ahead of the scheduled date? Given the variation in weather around that time of year, it just doesn't make sense to me to plan that far ahead only to change it when you get close. I am completely willing to put a date on the calendar as long as everyone realizes that it is subject to change.

Danr,
I think that having an available posted calendar could be handy if someone is thinking about oh, maybe going to Disneyland or going out to kill Bambi's uncle, they could take a quick look to see if the group was planning anything that might pose a conflict or be a deterrent, or it could just be a reminder that something generally occurs like the first weekend of May, etc. Goes without saying that nothing is cast in stone, Sheeeet happens. The creek might rise, the dam might burst, Bambi's uncle might step on your foot, your car might be broken...(nah, never happens)
Why all the heartburn?

I do not see a downside to a calendar. Anything listed can be changed and even reservations can be cancelled with short notice. People who still work would be able to plan ahead for time off. I, myself, plan up to a year ahead for all events.
