Just continuing the updating process. Only thing that hasn't been replaced or updated Under the car in last year.
New rebuilt Ron Davis gas tank plus fuel pump before that.
New suspension related stuff (rods, ball joints).
Rebuilt Tranny with Travis.
New clutch and Plate.
New Tires last year.
Repainted front half.
Forgot the rest of stuff ....
Not a big deal.

Check shocks out before buying.

I wanted new so I put QA1's all around. I don't track the car so I am not concerned. Did my home work on these before having them installed.

Fitz, can you tell any difference, other than a lightened wallet, and the big smile on Gordon's face?

I am considering changing out my 16 year old Shelby shocks for something else, possibly the QA1's. Who at QA1 (or elsewhere) would be best to talk to regarding the right ones for a CSX 4000 series car?

Cobra valley hooked me up with a nice set of QA1s for around $1,200.00.
Best thing I have done so far as far as ride goes.

I am a QA1 dealer. I would need to measure your current shocks to match up a correct set.

Thanks! I was also told by someone to check with ProShocks for what they offer. Sorry, not trying to jack the thread....

Thanks Gordon! When I have them pulled, I will find you! Have the car on the Kwik-Lift with tyres off now, so should be soon.

Measure the free length eye center to eye center, measure spring length and email me a pic.

Still running the original ProShocks. 70K miles. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I think I remember you (Mikiec) on your back under your car on a hot Route 66 day changing out a battery that was 18 years old. Ha! it does cost money but I always am thinking ahead for crap to break so I pretty much replaced everything under the car since new plus carb, lines, fuel related stuff and always tires after about 12,000 miles.
Can you imagine changing out a tire in this weather or sitting there roasting under the hardtop waiting for AAAmad

Have pictures with measuring tape against them etc but it is a pain to put pictures on this site so if interested send me your email address and I will send. I will sell all 4 to cobra members real cheap. Less then cost of new one.
