Looks like the 21st and I vote option 2.
Al, when you've established specifics, send them to Joe Bria (likenu2@cox.net) so he can blast it out to everyone and the people that don't follow the forum, will be informed.

Phoenix-Tucson Challenge Trophy Plaque
I will give the challenge plaque to Dr Duc for his trip down there if I don't make it. This is a good time to use it. Highest cobra count wins.

If.that's the case, I.will make it whenever. Besides the graduation, I just found out, isn't until 6:00 in the evening.

Thats when we all get together and John buys us ice cream..
Yet another topic showing that you Arizona dudes are the most active group of Cobra owners. Great job guys!
14th is best for me. Regarding option 1 or 2 I will leave that up to those making the drive from Phoenix.
Mt Lemmon
Hey Guy's, New to the forum.
My wife and I would like to join in. Ether day is good for us, but if we do the 14th can we meet at cars -n- coffee, Sunrise and Campbell here in Tucson? Dennis |
Mt Lemon run
Best option for me is May 21, and just for the drive up and Breakfast.
Dennis and Mary Lou from Tucson |
OK Al, It's your party and your call. When and where? Time is getting short for folks to make plans... Don't make me ask Patty to make the call......
The 14th seems like it is it, and go with option 1,If the Phx. people leave early enough, Phx and the Tucson people could meet at the Cars and Coffee (SHOW UP IN FULL FORCE),starts 7am hang for 1 hour ,,leave 8-9 and make the trip up the Mountain ,,breakfast stops at 11am and no lift ticket (for free) cars and coffee is at Ajs fine foods 2805 E skyline Dr. tucson az 85718.. I hope we all can make this .......and I would like to see the 2.00 bill come back to Tucson..
Hey Al, I will post on our local email list to see if anyone is interested.
That means we would have to leave the parking lot at the chevron station at Firebird raceway not later than 5:30 Am. That would put us at the location in Tucson about 0710 hrs. Who's up for it?/ Adriana and I can make it.
Ok, I'm in. I'll be at the Firebird Chevron between 5 and 5:30am for the trek to Tucson.
".......and I would like to see the 2.00 bill come back to Tucson.."
I'm thinking the only time that $2 was in Tucson, was when Tucson John got it at a bank, to give to Mikiec. I think it would be great if enough of the Tucson crew would come out to whip the PHX group, for a first. |
Karl, you always support the underdog. I wonder if Al knows what he's in for?
Wellllll, I'm going to pull a "Danr" and suggest a different route, that makes more sense to us East Bumbscrew folks, and to those that prefer 2 lane roads over the interstate . (its also 25 miles closer, from my Casa Blanca). I'm going to go down 79 through Florence to Oracle Junction, take 77 down through Catalina to Ina Rd, East on Ina to Skyline and right on Skyline to AJs. Google sez this is less than 2 hrs from Idaho and the 60, so I'll be leaving the Chevron (Idaho/60) 5:30ish. Should get to AJs well before 8. See youse at either the Chevron or AJs.
I'm also going to bring some warm clothes since we'll be making close to 10,000' elevation. |
