"We only really have one rule...NO WHINING"
RatBoy, you either missed or ignored my point altogether. You are being very "selective" about what you consider to be a team player or group unity. I guess I was too obtuse in trying to point that out.

RunBuster
I didn't miss your point.
I just feel separating/busting up the group at the very beginning of a run is a much bigger deal then not joining in for dinner.
I hear what you are saying but don't forget over 50% of the rt66 group dinned differently then the group. This happened at lunch in Seligman also.
It just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
Can you say busting up the beginning of a run is no big deal to you?

Good, I got my point across and so did you. Neither the "dinner" thing nor the "beginning run" thing is a big enough deal to me to deprive myself of an opportunity to enjoy getting out with friends or getting some beloved seat time in my toy. Too bad it was for you. I have no idea what you did yesterday, don't care, but I'd pretty well guarantee, it wasn't nearly as much fun as I, and a bunch of others, had.
I'm done. We disagree, oh well.

Karl,
I have been up in Flagstaff since Thursday.
Got some rain yesterday and today is 65 degree right now.
I hate the heat, so any chance I get to head to cool country I go.
Glad you guys had a good run.

I'd probably have a sweater on at 65°. It was only 103° when I got back to East Bumbscrew yesterday. Summer's acommin"

Hope to get the car sorted and titled and ready to go soon so I can join you guys for some of the fun. BTW I was headed west on Pecos Saturday a.m. about 9:30 and saw someone in our group coming out of the Wild Horse area and turn left off 40th street onto westbound Pecos....by the time the light turned green he was gone and I could not catch up. Don't know who it was but it was a nice looking Cobra!

I think this is the bullseye of the entire discussion...
Nobody from the Valley who made the run to Tucson yesterday seemed to care that Karl, Bill, Mike and myself drove down 79, while Danr and Adriana, DrBruce, and Gary and Vikki all drove down I-10
Dan, I'm not criticizing you for feeling the way you do, but I'd like to offer some perspective:
What if I said I was never going to join this group for an overnight run, because I thought that breaking the club up into smaller groups for dinner destroys the unity of the club, and so I used that as a reason not to attend the entire run...?
Wouldn't that seem a little bit odd... ?

Dwrat, There have been many times a large group started and a smaller group finished. No big deal.
I'm glad you guys are driving the wheels off the cars.

Mikie,
I know that.
My whine was that it split before it got started.
Half went one way and the other half went a different way.
No big deal anymore, it's over and done with and everyone was happy with how it played out.
Like Karl, I am now also done with this topic.

Question for U
HI,
I live in Tucson and my late husband, Ken was a member of the Tucson Cobra Club. He passed away in 2008 and I still own his Classic cobra. I tried to sell it myself but had only lookey-lou's... I sent it to a local broker three years ago and he has not sold it. It has a 427 engine with less than 150 miles on it ! It is is very good shape. I am at a loss to find a buyer. John Kerkides ?? was the last person in the Cobra club I spoke to about the car that was in 2010! He seemed to think guys weren't interested in the big engine????
Any advice you have would be appreciated. This car needs to be driven!!!
I am asking $42,500 seems in line with what other are listed. I am willing to negotiate. I have phtos and a spec sheet but wanted to check in w you 1st because you may know someone better able to advise me.
Glad you are so active in the club. We had a lot of fun with the members during our time. Hope your ride up the Lemmon was fun.
Thanks for your time in reading this . Gail

Gail, There are several place you can post it for free. Do you have photos? Cobracountry.com is the first place I would look. Folks from all over the world shop there and it's not unusual to sell a car to Britain, France or Germany from that site. The for sale page on this site sells a lot of cars. If you are really interested and need help, I would be glad to run to Tucson and take the right photos and post them for you. My wife and I need to visit friends down that way soon anyway. Let me know. Dan
