Al, pretty sure Gary and Vikki and I are staying at the Camarillo Executive Inn Thursday night. I booked it through booking.Com for $82, including taxes. Helps make up a little for some of the other places, a bit more pricey.

My problem where to stay the first night is I want to drive Topanga Canyon. Lots of bucket list items on this trip including Golden Gate. Patty, on Sunday the board walk in Santa Cruz has an old style wood Roller Coaster. Ya know you want toooooo! Also, there is a possibility of sailing in the bay from Alameda in a 34 footer. Any interest?

Gary, I thought you were adamantly opposed to going to Santa Monica and that's why I tried to find something in the basic Oxnard area.
Fortunately, there is still plenty of time to make or cancel reservations. Just need to know da plan, stan.

This is going to be a blast no matter what. Earlier we wanted everything on the bucket list to be covered. We are doing pretty good. I do want to ride the roller coaster more than once!!!! Last time was1966 I think. I am thinking Woodland hills the first night and drive down Topanga Canyon and hook up with Dan on Hwy One to Pizmo. To many choices! I don't want to be next door to Karl and Scott. Scott snores if drinking scotch! Santa Monica is Pretty Woman time and UCLA. Tuff decisions

I thought about booking in Canoga Park but my res in SM is non refundable. So that's out. We can.set up a time to.meet on US PCH Friday morning and run from there. There are rooms at the Travelodge for 85. Wish I'd thought of that earlier.

Travelodge, where? Canoga Park, or SM?
How'd you get hooked into a place that doesn't allow cancellations, at least 48 hours in advance? Even the 3rd party reservation sites I've used always allow it.
I Think you are just wanting to take your sweetie some place fancy-schmancy in hopes you can get nasty.

If you book through Hotels.com, be sure to check the cancellation policy before you book.

Go to , "California Dreaming" A little vacation II on this forum. I started another thread for current dates and places for this trip. Wasn't there a group from Texas that shipped there cars and drove up Hwy 1 about 5 years ago?
