SUPRISE Breakfast Run TOMORROW! 7/24/16

I'm meeting Scotty, at the Bush Hwy/Beeline on ramp tomorrow at 5am. We're going to run up to the Payson Airport restaurant for breakfast and should be home before 10. It'll be hot enough, by then.

Be spontaneous, git outa da bed, git yer car dirty!

Scotchman 07-23-2016 11:30 AM

See you there.

Phx Mike 07-23-2016 11:33 AM

Can't make it have the car in for fluids changes this weekend.

Cobrakeith 07-23-2016 11:42 AM

I'll be in Oregon so can't make it. Payson airport is a great place to drive to for breakfast, sorry I'll miss it.

DWRAT 07-23-2016 12:12 PM

If I was in town I would make it.
I'm up in the cool country now.

Scotty, give Jim Cook a call, he will make it.
He never checks club cobra.

It's literally in the shop. I can't get to it. I'm just too lazy to put it up on the jack stands and do it myself.

Nice morning. We beat the sunrise in the eyes on the way up, and had a great breakfast. DanR, Robert, Karl and I all took turns rabbiting !

Danr55 07-24-2016 10:30 AM

A great ride. YOu guys need to learn to keep up.. ha Ha Ha.. I went slow all the way home thinking you'd catch up but I never saw you.

Karl Bebout 07-24-2016 10:51 AM

They waited for me to get all my paraphernalia hooked up: ice vest, GPS, Pandora, harness, elbow padding, goggles, just a lotta stuff!

Was a nice ride this morning, but I'm thinking I'll be needing a nap, after getting up at 4am. I liked having Bush Hwy to myself. Didn't have to go 20 MPH behind boats and MoHo mofos.

Robert, youse gotts sumtin dangling under your car. Wiring for your remote starter that gets your AC going?

moore_rb 07-24-2016 10:55 AM

I caught up with you on the Bush Highway Dan. I was a couple cars behind you - Saw you blow passed that slow poke that was doing about 40 in the grey Corvette. I got him about 1 minute later.

Karl kept on motoring past the Bush Highway turnoff, so he must have gone home up Gilbert Road.

Great morning... Got home just in time- Those last few stoplights before I pulled into the driveway were getting pretty toasty.

HAHA - Rabbiting was easy this morning after my speedo went out...

"Officer- there is no way I was going that fast- My speedometer said that I wasn't even moving when you pulled up behind me - You obviously need to get your radar gun checked..."

Until next time....

No, That would be what's left of my speedometer cable, and also the reason I was driving zero MPH for 75% of the trip....

Karl,
What do you have for a ice vest and how do you like it?

Karl Bebout 07-24-2016 02:09 PM

Dan, it's a cotton vest with four pockets on the inside, in front and four in the back. I use those blue refreezable things about the size of a pint (375ml) liquor bottle. I don't put the bottles in the back pockets, when I'm driving. They are hard and uncomfortable and I felt like I was getting "kidney freeze". Ha. The vest really makes a difference, although I still get a good case of swamp-butt. I found it on Craigslist a year or two ago, so I didn't buy it from a store. I got the bottles at Walmart for $1@. "Heat Factory" from Carlsbad, CA is all that is on the tag. The guy I bought it from said it was his wife's to help with her Lupus.

DWRAT 07-24-2016 02:31 PM

Karl,
Thanks for the info.
I did a search on Amazon and found a couple different ones.
On my way Last Saturday night to meet some of the "computer only" Cobra members it was hot as hell.
I may have to get me something soon.

Car Nut 07-25-2016 08:43 AM

Sorry I missed this until this morning. Glad you all had fun.

Karl Bebout 07-25-2016 11:09 AM

Once again, CarNut is a prime candidate for a Plas tect omie.

Car Nut 07-25-2016 03:25 PM

Maybe if I knew what you are talking about? LOL
