Default Saturday Morning August 6th

Instead of Car & Coffee at Gainey Ranch I am going to attend a close-by morning car show. 6am to 10am. About 1 mile from my home and free.
You are all welcome to join me. I have wanted to see what this new breakfast restaurant is like. First light just north of the 101 on west side of 75th Ave.

Aug 6&7 is also the big car show up at Watson Lake in Prescott, which might be a cool spot for a break following a nice early morning drive up the hill:

WATSON LAKE SHOW

Looks like several options will be out there next weekend (weather permitting)

Went to the Watson Lake Show 3 times in the past. Great show, beautiful area, park in grass, swap meet pretty large, had old tractors too. Got rained on EVERY time I went but temperature was welcome. Swap Meet here on Sunday also. http://www.hemmings.com/calendar/?lo...eFacet=Arizona

Yeah, 'tis the season for rain...

I took my car out last night to try out this nifty GPS speedometer app I installed to my phone (which I hope will tide me over until I get the motivation to tear out my dash so I can replace my mangled speedometer sender) and I got hit by rain out near Johnson Ranch.

If my speedo parts arrive this week (along with some other parts I ordered for the car) then I might not be doing any driving next weekend- I might be in the garage wrenching, listening to music, busting my knuckles, and swearing...

I have one of those speedo apps on my phone too. Pretty handy actually esp for calibrating your speedo/odometer. Mine also shows average speed and altitude which is kind of cool.

I am going to try to make it to the show over in Bob's neighborhood.

I never went to the Watson lake show. I did hear about Petty43 not being able to get the top up on his Olds.

Karlos, Missed you at the last few Tuesday dinners but understand it is a long drive in the heat. Now bout dat additude .. LOL I have the same position and beliefs, had them for many years. I don't pay to show my car. I have donated my time and even cash if I believe in the charity. If generating cash for a promoter and not a charity I need to know that up front and decide yes or no.
