Breakfast Run

Anyone interested in running to Pumpkin Center Saturday morning? Leave the Shell station on Shea about 8:30.

DWRAT 10-04-2016 06:42 PM

I could use some seat time.
Are you thinking Butcher Hook?

nniets 10-04-2016 07:19 PM

Does that become a loop through Globe/Miami on the way back?

Phx Mike 10-04-2016 07:45 PM

I'm in

Usually, some back track the same way and some make the loop.

Danr55 10-04-2016 08:10 PM

Yes.to the Butcher Hook. The loop through Globe is an.option.

moore_rb 10-04-2016 08:40 PM

Possible...

nniets 10-04-2016 10:23 PM

We might try to intercept y'all at the Saguaro Lake turn off.

Karl Bebout 10-05-2016 05:21 AM

You know I can't miss an opportunity. I should be at the bottom of the on ramp from Bush Hwy onto the Beeline about 8:45. Of course, I'll be doing the swing around Roosevelt to Globe.

Scotchman 10-05-2016 07:51 AM

I'm in. " I WANNA DRIVE " Seems like that's all I want to do anymore. **):JEKYLHYDE**)

Scotchman 10-05-2016 12:57 PM

Cobra Jim says he's in.

nniets 10-06-2016 12:50 PM

We'll meet you there. - Ron

Hi guys, a New Englander here visiting your fine state, traveling from Phoenix to Sedona and up into Utah. First time out this way and doing this run over the last week I am amazed at the vastness of your state, but one question comes to mind as I travel it. Why do you guys own cars that can corner? In 400 miles I've taken 2 lefts and 3 rights, then straight lines as far as I can see! Round a bouts are fun but very short lived and I'm thinking Mad Max cars would be far more appropriate for out here. Actually just having fun with you and enjoying everything on a great vacation.

nniets 10-06-2016 03:39 PM

Make sure you take the road up Oak Creek Canyon when you leave Sedona.

Karl Bebout 10-06-2016 04:24 PM

Murky, Pretty sure the route # for the road up Oak Creek Canyon, to Flagstaff, is 89A. There's a few twisties but it certainly has some nice scenery.

We manage to find a few roads to exercise our shoulder muscles around curves. Last weekend, 6 Cobras and 3 Barkalounger JAFMs did the trip up "The Devil's Highway", down in the SE corner of the state. About 119 miles and 460 turns. Good times.

mikiec 10-06-2016 06:30 PM

89a between Sedna and Jerome... 158 turns in 12 miles.

Karl Bebout 10-06-2016 06:58 PM

Mikiec, I didn't want to scare him.

BTW, darn good thing I talked to Mesa Dave. He set me straight about this run being on Saturday, not the Sunday I'd mis-assumed. duh!

I'll still be there.

moore_rb 10-06-2016 09:23 PM

Working brake lights? Check
Arizona title, registration and license plate? Check
Road Force balance on all 4 wheels, so my fillings will stay in my teeth? Check

Saturday morning road trip to Butcher Hook for breakfast...? Yeah baby- I'll be there....
