Weather Permitting

For a different New Year's Day Run:

Leave the usual Chevron Station at Idaho Rd and the 60 at 9:30am (Ralphie)
Drive East on 60 to Superior, head South on 177 to Winkleman
Drive West on 77 to Oracle Junction
Have lunch at Lupe's Mexican Restaurant (They will open at 11am)
Drive North on 79, through Florence to the 60
West on the 60 back to God's Country, and whatever.

Round trip, Idaho Rd. to Idaho Rd. 185 miles

If the weather is not dry, we'll shoot for Sunday, Jan 8th

Karlos,
I think you should try driving East on 60 to get to Superior...But it sounds like a superior idea to me!

Karl Bebout 12-04-2016 08:38 PM

Doc, yepppers! Thanks for the catch.

Cobrakeith 12-05-2016 11:22 AM

I hope to be able to go on this trip. Will know more in a few weeks. Mexican food is a big draw for me LOL.

moore_rb 12-06-2016 07:44 PM

Sounds good Karlos.

Got me a nice pair of leather driving gloves this morning... I'll be itching to try them out come Jan 1...

Just driving home in the cold, from the MikieC meetup last Saturday, dried my hands out like a pair of raisins... and now my knuckles are all cracked and bleeding. (wah)

Getting old totally BLOWS.

"Getting old totally BLOWS."

Just to brighten your day, Robert,

Danr55 12-09-2016 09:48 AM

Isotoner lambskins- 42 bucks on Amazon

I used to have a really expensive pair of Fratelli's back in the day; but when they wore out I replaced them with Isotoners, and the cheap ones lasted twice as long, so I never went back...

To the TOP.

Here's just a reminder about this Sunday's New Year's Day Run.

Yesterday, ACCUWEATHER called for Rain, on Sunday, but today, it says Saturday, for the rain, and lots of sunshine on Sunday. I like today's forecast much better.

Karl, please have your weather folks call my weather folks and ask them to get together and work this out. Weather Channel is calling for highs in the mid fifties and 80 percent chance for rain in both Mesa and Oracle. Let's see how it looks on Friday.

Karl Bebout 12-27-2016 10:29 AM

AccuWeather changed again today. Now, "Coupla Showers"

I'm thinking, hopefully, by Friday, it'll look good. If not, there's next weekend.

Stay tuned.

Just got into town but without the Cobra. Like to follow the group if the weather permits.
