Default Route 66 Arrangements

As regards the Rt. 66 Fun Run this year, we will be staying at the same hotel even though it's not the same hotel. The Travelodge is now the Red Roof Inn. While we will no longer be staying in the back building, I've asked for and received confirmation that they will block 15 rooms for ($58.99 plus tax) in the front building on the bottom floor for us. When you make your reservations, you will need to call (928)757-1188 and identify yourself as being with the Arizona Cobras car club and mention my name as having booked the reservations. We only have 15 rooms and they will only be held until the first week of April, so if you're going, reserve your rooms soon.

The schedule will be pretty much the same as usual.
Leave Chevron station at I-17 and Carefree Hwy. Friday May 5 at 10:00 AM.
Stop in Chino Valley for a short break. Proceed to Seligman to pick up goody bags and registrations.
Lunch at the location of choice in Selgman. If you eat at Snow Cap which everyone should at least once, be sure to ask for mustard on the burger when you order.
Leave Seligman and proceed to Kingman, register check in, relax a while then we will go to dinner.. location to be determined.
Saturday will either be a run back to Seligman and launch with the run or hang out at the car show all day.
Saturday night is always pizza night.
Sunday, those who are compelled to drive are free to make a run for it. Some of us with more patience will make the Salmon run up old 66 with stops at Hackberry for photo ops and Seligman for a meal at West Side Lilos. Then depart for home after chow.

Any questions, give me a call. Thanks Dan

Danr, thanks for ram roding this run again. Its disappointing to not be able to get into the building at the rear, but I'm sure we can manage just fine. Need to make sure that Scottie gets a room closest to the street and office so he can keep track of everyone when they go past. I'm hoping the Red Roof has improved the breakfast, but that's certainly not a deal buster.

Ashley was very nice and reserved my room. She said she would hold the room next to the ice machine for Scottie.

Karl, they said we can party in the parking lot up front, but they really want to see Scotty dance
So we are up front this year. Maybe we can return to the back next year.

No doubt, you'll be taking the JAFM that has AC, PS, stereo, and cup holders.

And air conditioned and heated seats, as well as multi-positioning of the seats and steering wheel, and maybe a few extra horsepower while maintaining at least 26 mpg. I won't mention the cruise control, Bluetooth multi speaker sound system or the wet bar.

ATTA BOY LYLE!

SOME people use just about any excuse to not drive their Cobra and take their JAFM.

Car Nut, I'm waiting for you to put some white wall tires, fuzzy dice, spinner hub caps, chalo-balls around the inner windshield frame, suicide knob, dice tire stem caps, skull shift knob, fender skirts and lakes pipes on your JAFM.

Nah, I'm not in that age group. But, I'm pretty sure Jim B could help you with your dream car.

If you've not registered for the Rt. 66 Fun Run this year, you can call 928-753-5001 and speak with Carol. A very nice lady who will sign you up, take your shirt size, and get you a plate number (if the one you want is available...don't ask for 427 as it is taken, again.)

Behave you two! These comments are meant to be made in person with some of us having a beer or scotch and a cigar. Windex man will certainly enter into the mix !!! Looking forward to this years run. It does not conflict with Huntington Beach. Gary
