Payson Saturday 25 February
This replaces the other thread - as Bob noted I got the date wrong. Anyways - thinking about a drive up to Payson This Saturday the 25th of FEBRUARY. would be leaving at about 0800 from the usual departure lint at the Shell station.
Mike.

Mike, I'm thinking I'll probably join you. It'll be nippy on the way up but much nicer, I hope on the return.

Better bundle up. Payson's forecasted high is 47°, and that won't hit until long after we've gone down the hill.

8 am is too early. It's forecasted to be 30* in Payson at 9am. Could be ice on the bridges on the way up.

Okay let's do this gang. Trip is still on (at least I am still going!). Let plan a 9:00 departure from the Shell station, instead of 8:00. Roads are dry so there won't be ice. We can wear a jacket. Karl let me know if you will meet us at the Shell or if we should meet you at the Bush highway ramp. Hope some others can join.

I'm out for tomorrow-
I just got a call from our tenants that the sprinkler system is leaking at our rental, so I need to go over tomorrow morning to take a look at it to see if I can repair it, or if I need to call in a pro...

See you and Scottie there for a 9:00 departure. Last call - any other brave souls for the arctic run?

It was a good ride. Little chilly going over Mt Ord on the way up but nice once we got there and all the way back. My sister went along and had a blast.

Ya see! Even Mike's SISTER has more gumption than some folks. My warm apple pie ala-mode at the Payson airport was very tasty and a good breakfast to start the day.
It was a beautiful brisk day and being properly dressed made for a very enjoyable 170 mile ride for me. Mike was the rabbit on the way up and managed to keep it between 85 and 90, without any of us getting "good driving citations".
