I'm out...
Wife came home from work with strep throat - she is down for the count. I'll be taking care of the kids tomorrow, and they won't both fit in the car...

Great day for a drive up to Payson, the Crosswind was full and we had to wait a bit but the food was good as usual. Some bikers Scottie met at the service station put Scotties name on the list for a group table when they arrived and that saved us some time as we didn't have to wait as long to be seated. Nice guys! We scattered in about three different directions on the way home but I'm sure all had a good drive home. Have a good drive home Greg and Vicki, see you next winter.

Great day, great drive, great people and great breakfast! What's not to like? Was a bit warm getting back to the valley, but a small price to pay for fun!

232 miles for me today. I took the long way back from PaySon buy going down through Punkin Center, along Roosevelt Lake, over to Globe and then home. Nice little drive but the car developed a nasty vibration that is definitely drive train related. No vibration with the clutch in, revving the engine. Can feel the vibration when running through each gear and there is so much vibration at speed that I can't see with the rear view mirror. Got some investigating to do.

We took the same route, watching for you along the way, but never saw you. We were a good 20 minutes behind though, maybe more. Is the vibration the same in each gear, or does it get worse with speed?

Hope you can sort it out easily and it's not a big deal Karl. If it's not vibrating sittting still with the clutch in, then (as you note) it's not the engine or flywheel. Sounds like it is shaking at various vehicle speeds as you go through each of the gears, so probably not wheel imbalance (since that would be limited to certain vehicle speeds, or get steadily worse as you gained speed). This makes me think it is transmission or clutch related. I would check the transmission mounts and u-joints and if all seems secure there then maybe the clutch disk?

I feel the vibration in each gear and not when I put the clutch in to shift. I'm hoping for a drive shaft uJoint. Hope to find it tomorrow.

Karlos, I banged my head against the wall over like conditions. U-joints seem to change if accelerating or decelerating with the load changes. The on/off affect of pressure plate seems like a clue to chase. Pressure plate or maybe a bad input shaft bearing on tranny?

The bearing looks fine - It must be the baffle races.
