Arizona Cobras to the DVSF II
As usual guys the time is getting closer for the DVSF II.
I have been asked by DV (Ed Combs) to get an agenda layed
out for a hook up with the other western state groups that
are going. Me and MikieC will try and get a plan together for
the Phoenix guys and I will ask MikieF to see about the Tucson
group that wants to go.
Tentivly I figure the best time to leave Phoenix is on Wednesday
the 19th of June at about 8AM. We will try and be in Flagstaff
between 10:30 and 11AM where we will then meet up with
other groups. I will post the location to meet at later. From
there we will try and make Amarillo, Tx or close to it by 6 or7PM.
We will stay overnight then up for breakfast and on the road by
8:30AM. The next over night stop should be in Missouri just short of Rolla, Mo. After breakfast we hit the road and should be in
London, Ohio by 3:00PM. All this is tentive and can certainly be
changed. As a group we may even want to leave a day sooner
to allow for minor problems that may be encountered.
Right now I think it is important that we get a head count as
to who is going for sure with the group. If you are going please
post it here or e mail me or MikieC. Please don't wait too
long as we want to be in the host Motels.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Hersh

Hershal,
Yo may want to create some sort of main thread or forum for DVSFII related planning that pertains to all the various groups that might want to join in on a caravan.
I could see AZ guys tying in with SoCal guys, joined by NM, TX, OK and others along the way. You may have a sizeable contingency rolling into Eds driveway.
Just a thought.
PS - I replied to your email about your 40 hood.

Well, might as well throw it out there as a test. Who from T town is considering it? A BLAST is guaranteed to be had by all. Some of the wives(mine included) plan to get there by air, which is probably a good thing, passenger seat's for the water cooler!

Hershal or Mike F
When did you guys start heading back back from DVSF last year?
Sunday PM or Monday AM?
Although I can't commit to this adventure quite yet, my vote to leave for Ohio is on Wednesday so I don't have to burn an additional vacation day.

Hey Hersel, please check the OHIO Cobra page under "local clubs". A few of the hotels are sold out already for the DVSF. John PS. I am in for sure, if you reserve rooms let me know and I'll pay for it immediately.

Paul,
We start back to Arizona on Monday morning.
John,
We stayed at a different motel about 5 miles down the
road from the other motels. It just so happens that the
gathering spot for the daily meeting is next door at the
Speedway truck stop. The Knights Inn is a nice place
and there were plenty of cobras there too. I'm sure that
the two host motels are full by now but I will check.
Also John, Paula may have to fly back home so if she
does I will have an empty seat in the GT40. I will let you know as soon as I can.

windshield stickers
Hersh,
John from Tucson came up with a great idea....
He was thinking of getting some ARIZONA COBRAS stickers made up for the windshield. Put these on the cars that make the trip. I'de like to go one step further and do a bunch up for the club.
Let me know what you think???

Paul,
That's good news.
My boss and I talked about it today. He gave tentative approval....However, that is approximately when the new system goes in and I could be on 18 hour shifts.
The closer it gets the more I'll know.

Gordan!
Don't you tease me!
By the way, a very nice customer of yours stopped into the shop today...said you told him his car would be done in April. I hope you don't hit any snags! He came last year to the Fling and said he would have a Cobra at this years Fling so help him something or another!
DV
PS... book the hotel rooms now people! It looks like this is going to be huge, with almost all reserved rooms gone already. I will need to know asap whether or not to try and reserve more.
