Looking forward to next sat. Nice that it's for a good cause. Bob - don't want to steal your thunder - we both have 460BBs...and hyperHP 500s. And oh - we have another one. Tho it doesn't get out much. We like it fresh outta the box - still in plastic.

We Have Our Elfs
We have our volunteers: Karl will be handling the White Elephant Gift Exchange (3rd possession keeps.)
Scott will take care of the ticket distribution to all who bring White Elephant Gift.
Mike Canning will assist with Award Presentations.
Toy collection will be obvious. Into the Marine's Toys for Tots Boxes.
Growing close. I will drop off boxes at Ron's Shop this week.

Confirmed!
WooHoo! 2 Marines will be there at 12 noon with Penske truck to pickup toys. I have 7 boxes to fill, lets do it! I told coordinator we will feed them lunch and give them a ride in the cobra of their choice.

Don't let the Marines go for a ride with Danr.
Not good history.

Party Plans
Cobra parking plan is:
1. Park in lot until photo shoot (no burnouts).
2. Line up 4 abreast inside shop for professional group photos
3. Re-park in lot because some of our cars mark their territory (oil).
Ron’s shop has 4 bathrooms for us old guys.
For you west siders: Route 101 will be closed all weekend Westbound only from 7th St to I-17, so plan alternate route homeward.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with danr's history of giving Marines rides at the anniversary party.

You're right. A cobra IS an off road vehicle for use in hill climbs.

Picking up all remaining T-Shirts from Mike Dotson today. Will bring to Party for anyone to buy at $10 each.
I visited Ron's shop yesterday to drop off Toys for Tots boxes. AWESOME!
Lots of extra diecast cars/trucks thanks to our own Scotty.
Plus, a BIG SURPRISE for somebody.
Ron has hired a fulltime promotor and event coordinator you will love. This is her first event.

I'm primed and ready for the "friendly" Ford versus Chevy banter that is going to come my way... I hope you all have your favorite Corvette/Chevy jokes all teed up, and ready to drive down the fairway. (Danr needs to come up with something newer than "Chevette" this year )
Regardless, I have to bring attention to Bob's point above about the one thing that brings all of us (bowties/blue ovals, crossed flags and snake badges) together.... oil drips.
Well ok...: Oil drips and poor gas mileage.
ok... Oil drips, poor gas mileage, and blown ear drums.

See you all in a couple hours.

Finished
Great party. Numbers as predicted. Super Shop.
Got OK for same place next year. Fun time. 4 Marines chose their favorite cobras and took a ride. More to come. Ran long.

NoVA, nice to meet youse and glad you joined us. Keep your eye on this site as well as the AZ Cobras Face Book page to see when things are being planned. Also, you'd certainly be welcomed to suggest runs and with a little advanced notice others would join you. We have some pretty nice scenery for you to enjoy. VERY different from VA.

Looks like a "Good time was had by all" Only one question, who's turn was it, to get Karlos ready??? You failed, forgot his award, and came dressed in his "Silk PJ's" Karl, I will take the blame for no letting Mike & Joyce from Yuma know about the Christmas party. See you all in March for our Texas Run. I hear you may be coming Danr & Scotty??? RB that could be a dangerous territory for a Chevette, maybe ride with one of us? Cheers Boy's TommyRot.
